“Honey your soul is golden”. This quote was the inspiration for my magazine. I’ve made a bolder, braver and more badass magazine because I wanted to share the voice of creators. It’s always fun creating something you are passionate about. I am so incredibly proud of what this magazine has become and what it represents. From the long nights editing to the endless design drafts it is finally here. I find expressing myself through creativity and art is what gives me joy and this piece is one of my proudest achievements. Honey magazine is all about fashion, beauty, lifestyle and astrology. I have always read magazines such as Vogue and Cosmopolitan and these iconic publications are what inspired me to create what you are reading now.

Astrology and following the stars has always sparked an interest for me and the science behind it has intrigued me to learn more about what makes me a true Gemini. For me astrology and beauty are an exquisite combination. I loved writing about the zodiac and how its aesthetic can influence and drive the fashion and beauty of our generation. I dove deep into the fashion industry and discussed the trends of our generation that are different and unique. I didn’t want to write about topics that can be found in every other trendy magazine, I wanted to make an impression on my readers and inspire them to follow their passions. Maybe even become an astrology guru like myself. Or use their creative abilities to create new fashion pieces or just simply new art pieces.

This magazine also reviews a new Netflix series Next in Fashion which follows up and coming fashion designers and can be considered the reincarnation of Project Runway. Honey isn’t simply your average fashion and beauty magazine that you can pick up off any newsstand in New York City. My golden article discusses how much magazines influence body dissatisfaction. This is a real and prevalent topic that many young girls face regarding reaching the “perfect” ideal body image. Honey has evolved into the perfect magazine that I envisioned and I could not be more proud of what I have created.
