Claire and I were delighted to announce our engagement this August. Early drafts of our wedding invitation list show a strong Reed’s contingent in excess of 40 people which demonstrates just how strong the connection still is with the School. It will be some party I am sure.

Tom Curtis (Mullens 2010)

You can tell from the photo how happy Amelia and I are in announcing our engagement in April.

Ricky Kent (Capel 2001)

November 2019 brought about my engagement to the wonderful Renee, combining our two little families into one, finally after 7 years!

James Langham (Capel 2006)

I thought I would let you know about both my wedding and the birth of my baby boy in this year’s edition. Aimee and I got married on 6th September 2019 and Alfie James Langham was born 6th June 2020.

It was great to have so many ORs there as you can see from the photos. From left:

Josceline Erskine-Thomas (née Lester) (Bristowe 2008)

Joscelin Lester married Evan on the 15th June 2019 at 1pm in the West Wittering Church where they were joined by their closest friends and family. They continued the celebrations at the Lester family beach house as Mr and Mrs Erskine-Thomas.

Ollie Millroy (Blathwayt 2006)

Delighted to announce that Fern and I got engaged in July in Menorca (when it was safe to go there!).

Ankur Patel (Mullens 2005)

Here’s the story… my lovely fiancé, Harpreet (Lakhan), and I were planning to have a large wedding in Chicago this summer with all our family and friends, however, with COVID-19, our plans had to be postponed. To make the best of the year, we decided to ‘elope’ joined by a few of our local friends to Gold Creek Pond in Washington, about an hour away from our home in Seattle and did the deed on 15th August. Our families (thankfully) were able to stream the wedding on Zoom! We are looking forward to the large celebration with everyone next year!

Toby Tarrant (Blathwayt 2010)

Chuffed to bits to report that I asked my best mate Pippa to marry me in July and she said yes. This feels like a great idea at the moment but ask us again when we’ve spent a few more months together in lockdown!!

Pictured in the group photo is my wife Timi Csizmadia being serenaded by me as well as ORs Chris Twydell (in the cravat, class of 1997) and Alexei Haigh (best man, blue suit at the front, class of 1998). Also in the background is Ian Broatch (class of 1998). The wedding took place by Lake Balaton, in Hungary in April 2019.

Florence Verbeek (Bristowe 1997)

Florence Verbeek and Heiko-Jan Lameijer are very proud to announce that on 7th September 2019 Quentin Jonathan Andrew Lameijer was born, a beautiful, happy and active little brother to Christopher (2016) and Oliver (2018).

Michael Wakefield (Mullens 2005)

Zak George was born to Michael and Ellie on the 28th July at 2:07 am, weighing in at a hefty 8lbs 4oz. Parents and former staff, Val and Derek Wakefield, are thrilled to welcome their sixth grandchild into the family.
