Jodie McGuff closed out the day for the Lady Bulldogs as she finished eighth in the 10,000-meter run (37:13.20), earning one point for the team. Former SEC Champion Rochelle Farquharson scored the first points of day three. Competing in the long jump, Farquharson posted a jump of 2007.25 to finish third and score six points for the Lady Bulldogs. Jody-Ann Muir was the lone Maroon and White woman to secure a spot in the finals. Muir took to the track in the 400-meter dash, where she posted a time of 52.67 to finish third and move on to the finals. Heading into the last day of competition, the Lady Bulldogs were in ninth place with 17 points Erica Bougard captured MSU’s first honor during the finals, as she earned All-Freshman honors in the heptathlon. Bougard (4100.25) finished seventh in the triple jump, and JodyAnn Muir (52.74) added five points to the mix for her fourth place performance in the 400-meter dash. The Lady Bulldogs closed their time in Baton Rouge with 28 points and a 10th place finish.

Bougard’s fourth-place finish came on the heels of the freshman winning both the long jump (2000.50) and the 800-meter run (2:14.16). Additionally, Bougard earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team, as well as earning five points for the Lady Bulldogs. After an injury in the long jump, Wallace was forced to remove herself from day two’s competition. .
