Babe McCarthy-coached 1958-59 (top) and 1961-62 (bottom) teams led the nation in won-lost percentage with identical 24-1 records (.960) en route to claiming SEC titles at 13-1.

Bailey Howell (left) ranked among the nation’s Top 10 scoring and rebounding leaders during each of his three MSU seasons, while Jeff Malone (right) finished his senior season (1982-83) as the NCAA’s No. 2 scoring leader behind Texas Southern’s Harry Kelly.
