The Fab Club and Service Learning

The Fab Club’s motto states, “Fab Club loves doing things” And based on what they said at the school meeting and all the events they have organized, we can see how much they love doing things. This article will cover a little bit of what the Fab Club does It would be very difficult to cover everything that the Fab Club has done in one article, because they have done a lot However, I will share some general information about the work they do from the Fab Club chief, Amanuel Asrat.

We have all seen the sports tournaments that the Fab Club has organized, such as the volleyball and soccer tournaments. In addition to these tournaments, the Fab Club has a podcast on different topics like soccer matches and student council They also have publications about managing stress and the importance of drinking water, and they recently published two articles on some of their well known projects They are currently helping the librarians with color-coding and stamping books as well as creating awareness about sport ethics

The Fab Club also has many other large and small projects that are still in progress From their larger projects, mentorship is the one we all are expecting to see first In addition to the mentorship project, each member has their own project that they are working on For example, Bethlehem M is working on publications related to heath, Nathaniel K is working on a publication about physics, Yiddidya S is working on short films and vlogs, Bililign E is working on Natural fertilizer production, etc

Because I believe in learning from each other’s experiences, I am going to share some of the advice that Aman wants to give to other clubs and service learnings. One of the things that he emphasized was having a well structured club or service learning that lays out everyone’s responsibilities, which is essential for good management This has helped the Fab Club and could be helpful for other clubs as they work to achieve their goals. The second piece of advice he provided was setting goals and rules. Preparing well-defined goals for each day and week and having rules and consequences for the member who did not contribute to these set goals is very important These are some of the things that the Fab Club does and has found helpful. I would recommend other clubs and service learnings to keep this advice in mind, such as creating your own go ke it as successful as possible
