Life is constantly evolving, and with the departure of one group, another inevitably takes its place Heraclitus once said, "The only thing that is constant is change " The previous student council has left a remarkable legacy of achievements, and a new generation of leaders has now been elected to carry on the torch. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as the newly elected council members gathered for their inaugural meeting The former president, Rediet D., delivered an inspirational speech that left everyone feeling motivated and energized Both old and new council members then engaged in a lively, insightful, and empowering discussion, sharing their experiences, challenges, and strategies. The session lasted for 40 minutes, with each newly elected member given the opportunity to reflect on it With their eyes fixed firmly on the future, they adjourned the meeting, ready to tackle campus challenges and make their mark.
Week 2
The student council meeting this week was held at Ato Mark’s house and turned out to be a surprise for the new ministers and class representatives The co-presidents pranked the student council members by announcing that the meeting wasn’t going to take place at the usual meeting place, the community life office, but at Ato Mark’s house, because he broke his ankle However, upon arrival at Ato Mark’s house, we saw that it was only a prank and found the table full of treats, including doughnuts, popcorn, candy, and sodas. Since it was their first independent meeting, the co-presidents informed everyone that it was just for that day and the real meetings would start after the spring break. During the course of the meeting, students wrote a letter to their future selves which were then collected by the copresidents Following that activity, everyone proceeded to play fun games such as Passing the Marker, Two Truths and One Lie, and so on. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10, after an enjoyable evening of activities
