Stoke by Nayland Club Captain Julian Lamb celebrated his Captain’s Day with an early breakfast for a hundred players who then started the competition with a shotgun start on the Gainsborough course. The Captain had devised a format made up of three six hole sections, interesting pin positions and double point holes. It was an expensive day for Roger Toone who scored his first hole in one on the tricky 9th hole. The competition was won by Graham Vandervord and John Walker with 66 points and their prizes were presented by the Lady Captain, Eileen Hands.
