INTRODUCTION Dear Reader, Thank you for consulting the Heart 2 Heart: international Healthcare Relief Media and Design Guidebook. The following package provides an in-depth overview of the organization’s brand as well as promotions policy. Included is an overview of the official logo, colours, typography, as well as a layout of available stationary that can be used by organization members. All promotional files and materials are available to organization members via the promotion’s online drive. Before reviewing these policies and materials, it is important to understand the nature and vision behind the branding of H2H. Visual Identity Heart 2 Heart: International Healthcare Relief (H2H) strives to improve access to high quality healthcare for those who lack the financial means required. We organize fundraising events, sell merchandise and ask for donations to raise money on behalf of individuals who do not have the financial means to support the cost of their medical care. We primarily work with partner organizations to financially support their administration of treatments to patients. The H2H logo was designed with the reasons the organization was formed in mind. H2H: International Healthcare Relief was created last year, after one of our founding members visited a small non-profit cardiac hospital in Nadiad, India, and learned that, while the Indian government pays for cardiac and cardiovascular procedures and surgeries, there is no financial aid whatsoever for the medications needed in follow-up care, despite the fact that most of the procedures require ongoing medications for years after surgery or even for life. Heart 2 Heart: International Healthcare Relief was formed, and since then we have partnered with additional hospitals and charities to raise money on their behalf. The logo represents that of the values that surround the organization: altruism, humanism, equity, service, accessibility, and empowerment. The visuals used in the logo are quite simple - one hand being used to hold a heart. This signifies the goal of the organization through a means of raising money to empower individuals to hold up their own hearts and receive adequate health care that they need. Promotions Objectives H2H seeks to be visually present on all forms of social media, online, and through sponsorship, and relationship-building. Creating and following a visually appealing and unified brand will enable to strengthen the presence and legitamacy of the charity and its mission. COLOURS & TEXTURES Four colours have been selected for use in the creation of Heart 2 Heart: International Healthcare Relief documents and Images. These colours may be used in the creation of graphics, pamphlets, portfolios, booklets, stationary, and other media items. Other colours may be used for the creation of certain graphics for creative effect, pending approval from the promotions team. Note, black (HEX #000000) and white (HEX #ffffff ) may also be used as official colours in promotional materials created for Heart 2 Heart: International Healthcare Relief.

TYPOGRAPHY Heart 2 Heart: International Healthcare Relief utilizes Gotham as its primary font, and Garamond as its secondary font. These fonts are available with a licence. Gotham This is a clean and contemporary font that reads well both in print and on the web. It is suitable at both small sizes and as headers. This is the primary font, utilized in the official text portion of the H2H logo. The smallest size to be used is 7pt. The following examples are provided in 14pt.

Garamond Garamond functions complimentary to Gotham, and also reads well in text documents. It can also be integrated into headlines where suitable. The smallest size to be used is 8pt. The following examples are provided in 14pt.

In any instance, fonts should not be scaled horizontally or vertically. It is appropriate to utilize kerning (space between letters) for visual effects in certain circumstances, as per the following settings:

- All letters must be capitalized - Applicable for use with Gotham non-italicized fonts only - Kerning should fall between 0 and 500

STATIONARY & RESOURCES Heart 2 Heart: International Healthcare relief has pre-prepared letterhead and powerpoint templates that are to be used by organization members for documents and presentations. Visuals of the templates are provided below, and templates can be accessed in the organization’s drive. Letterhead To utilize the letterhead template, please select the appropriate master template file titled “H2H Letterhead Template” and make a copy of the file. Documents can then be created from the copied file and saved and exported as needed. Formal letters distributed on behalf of the organization should adhere to the format of the standard letterhead provided.
