Fisherman stabbed 6 times with scissors during fight

27-year-old fisherman was on Friday night stabbed six
times to his chest and back with a pair of scissors during a fight at Belvedere
Village, Corentyne, Berbice. Following the incident, the 22-year-old suspect was taken into Police custody and is currently assisting with investigations. Reports are that at about 21:30h, the fisherman and suspect were involved in an argument during which the suspect picked up a pair scissors and stabbed the victim six times. He then fled the scene. However, he was later apprehended by Police. The victim was taken to the Port Mourant Public Hospital and transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he is presently a patient.

Drunken 25-year-old stabs WBD man A shopping trip turned bitter for 31-year-old Vishal Ramdiaol after he was slapped and stabbed by a 25-year-old man at Westminister, La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD). It was reported that Ramdiaol went to purchase items at a shop in the area when the suspect, who was under the influence of alcohol, came out of his yard with a long knife and started an argument. Ramdiaol told Police that he cautioned the suspect and told him to desist from his actions. It was then the suspect
became annoyed and dealt the victim a slap to his face before stabbing him twice to his left side ribs. Ramdiaol was rushed to the West Demerara
Regional Hospital, where he was treated by a doctor on duty and admitted as a patient. He is slated to undergo surgery. His condition is stable.
