2015, with four other branches converted to the renewable energy solution in subsequent years. The most recent branch at Mahaica is fully operational on solar energy. Apart from Green Loans, Demerara Bank Limited offers a wide range of premium banking services through its network of eight branches strategically located across the country. These products and services include Savings and Term Deposit Accounts, Loans, Money Transfer Services, Cambio Services, Payroll, Safety Deposit Boxes, Night Depository facilities as well as Internet and other electronic funds transfer options. As we look to the future, we remain optimistic about our plans and will continue to invest in sustainable efforts to make the greatest positive impact on our customers, employees and the environment as a whole. Demerara Bank Limited is a member of the Georgetown Chambers of Commerce. As one of fastest growing financial institutions in Guyana, we understand the value of long-term sustainability and we firmly believe that we can make a difference for the future by taking appropriate action today. Demerara Bank Limited launched its Green Loans in November, 2016, an initiative that is aimed at building a sustainable future through the provision of low-cost financing for all renewable energy projects. To date, numerous individuals and corporate entities have benefitted from this initiative which has not only allowed for significant costsavings but also for beneficiaries to achieve their goals for long-term sustainability.

As an organization, the Bank has made significant strides to reduce its carbon footprint. It is worth highlighting in particular that the majority of its branches are fully powered by solar energy and that sustainable practices have been integrated into all areas of operations.
