Plastific Inc. awarded ‘Made in Guyana’ certification
PLASTIFIC Inc. was on Friday awarded the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) ‘Made in Guyana’ standards mark.
According to a press release from the GNBS, Plastific Inc. began operations in 2018 as the distributor of high-quality household plastic items, however, in 2021, the company began manufacturing its own plastic bottles, food boxes, preforms, cups, plates, spoons, sporks, forks, knives and packaging and storage containers of various sizes, made with Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), mixed with recycled degradable materials.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Togeshwarie Ga- nesh, Assistant Manager of Plastific Inc. said the company was elated to achieve the ‘Made in Guyana’ mark, which would improve the marketability of their products, give their brand a voice for all of their customers locally, and, hopefully, into the international market.
She also advised other companies to do the same, as they, too, can be able to advance their operations.
She highlighted that the objective of Plastific Inc. is to serve the local market, and, ultimately, the international market by providing them with quality plastic products.
