Gus Romo founded the Romo Planning Group, Inc., also known as RPG, in 2001. To assist public agencies with civic staffing needs, administrative assistants to provide interim solutions as well as project managers for complex assignments.
Gus Romo received the President’s Scholar Award from Cal Poly Pomona University in 1992. While raising a family and building a career, he obtained a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Redlands in 1999.
Gus Romo made a pivotal career move in 2014 when he chose to rejoin the public sector, taking on a role within the city of Irwindale. He entrusted the ongoing operations of his established company, Romo Planning Group, to his wife and a dedicated team of professionals.
Gus Romo’s company, environmental document preparation services to the City of Adelanto for two years with a contract interim director, 4 contract planners, a contract city engineer, and a contract environmental services project manager.
Gus Romo grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. His parents came from large families that immigrated to the United States from Mexico in the 1950s and 1960s. Gus Romo’s parents instilled the importance of education and a strong work ethic in him.
