I wanted to help people, give back to the co unity.
Most wouldn’t co ect teaching and co ections o icers as similar car r paths, but they are.
One’s teaching before decisions are made, the other is teaching after decisions are made. Both move to the same end.

Its every day people who l k to be er their lives through service that come here to work, to create a co unity they could be proud of, to find a family.
I’ve always wanted to f l like I belonged to something.
I want to te you about my journey. I was a teacher, i loved helping kids achieve there dreams, graduate and move to the next chapter of their lives.
Ok so what is this su ose to be?
But parents can get in the way of a lot, and sometimes as a teacher you have to sit back and grit your t th. It wasn't something I loved. And thats when I found Co ections.
S , here, as a co ections o icer I sti have the ability to educate, and guide, but there are no parents, or other forces, theres just these people who may have made decisions in their lives that got them here, and now, with the help of our team, maybe we can put them on a be er path.
That reward, to s a grown adult reinvent themselves for the be er, thats real magic.
so, being an o icer isn't just about enforcing the rules. Of course, in a place like this rules ma er, and they must be enforced. But we are much much more than the rules, we are a co unity, a co unity that l ks to help those who are l king for a second chance, to find it.
so why are we gra ling dude?
Defensive tactics training is a t l we co ections o icers have.
We are always l king to d scalate a situation, never the alternative.
With great defensive training, we be able to end conflicts with peace rather than fear.
