The store has chains in downtown New Orleans, downtown Lafayette, along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, in Mobile, in Spanish Fort and in several other locations. Rouse’s became an original market to the area, selling coastal specialties like Gulf shrimp, Gulf oysters, Gulf crabmeat, wildcaught Louisiana shrimp, Florida Royal Reds and boiled crawfish alongside grocery items. Rouses expanded across South Louisiana and into Mississippi in 2007, becoming one of the 10 largest independent grocers in the country.
