Crimping made easy –
the automatic solution from Wiha for greater efficiency and more fields of application Schonach, Germany, November 2016 – All electricians are familiar with the typical drawbacks when using crimping pliers. Wire-end sleeves get caught and jammed, crimping doesn’t turn out right, or sleeves are not even placed in the right position in the plier head. Unusable waste is not uncommon as a result. This not only pushes up costs in terms of time and materials, but also impairs process safety and is annoying for the user. Wiha now presents an automatic solution which unites two crimping pliers in a single compact tool for use in a range between 0.08 and 16 mm² and which ensures that work is completed efficiently without any hassle. Users can now breathe easy and wrap their wire-end sleeves in a heat process. The new interaction between different technical and functional characteristics in the new automatic crimping pliers electric from hand tool manufacturer Wiha will clearly make the craft of crimping significantly easier for users in the future. A feed mechanism for wire-end sleeves prevents the plastic cover from being crimped along with the wires. Replacing the square opening with a hex shape and the hexagonal crimping ensures that wireend sleeves do not get caught or twisted in the pliers. The crimping tool is also much easier to use thanks to a perfectly matched pressing force and automatic adjustment to the wire-end sleeve size for a wide range of applications between 0.08 and 16mm². As far as process safety is concerned, these product characteristics combined with other features, such as the integrated lever, which ensures that the crimping process can be interrupted at any time, provide a wide range of user-friendly advantages compared to earlier or similar models.
Developed based on user-focused needs, the new crimping solution from Wiha promises easy, automatic, process-reliable crimping of wire-end sleeves. The advantages: greater efficiency and more control during the overall crimping process.

Wiha support young talents in Hungary MEE – Hungarian Electrotechnical Association, Wiha partner in many interesting projects. Beginnig of 2016 MEE has organized project for Hungarian Electrotechnical high schools where young talents could prepare and present their innovative projects. Wiha recognized importancy of this event and contributed with premium products as a gifts for the winners. All together nearly 40 electrotechnical high schools participated with 81 student and many mentors in Hungarian Electrotechnical High schools Young talents program. Students were supported by their teachers (mentors) and created many interesting projects (CNC router machine, house heating control operated via sms, plasma speaker HIFI, Led tower, motorcycle alarm, smart home web interface…). Wiha supported this project with main award for the best young talent who received Wiha XL Suitcase and for the best mentor who received Wiha Electrician’s toolbag. Next to that additional 5 gifts were prepared for the mentors who actively involve their knowledge to help 8
students in their creations. Those awards were given personally by Tomislav Vezmarović, Area Sales Manager on the MEE final ceremony in December 2016. This way Wiha continued existing cooperation with MEE that was very active in 2016 where Wiha together with partner Zomko Kereskedelmi Kft. participated with booth on MEE Conference in Szeged that was held for three days and where the
focus was on XXL and XL suitcases for electricians. This event had over 700 participants and 130 companies from electrical and electronic branch. Due to very attractive and innovative products Wiha booth had great attendance rate were many users were introduced with important benefits that come along with Wiha products. We are looking forward to continue this cooperation in 2017 with more interesting projects.
