1972 Steinbock Þjónustan founded in a small garage in Kopavogur by Guðlaugur Gíslason in 1972 and operated there throughout the first year.
1983 First importing of used forklifts from Hermann Richter GmbH in Germany, which resulted in growing imports of second hand forklifts on a scale never seen before in Iceland.
1997 Íslyft ehf is formed, beginning a new chapter establishing imports of new forklifts for the first time, Yale forklifts being the first brand.
