Algunas de sus distinciones notables incluyen una nominación a la Palma de Oro en el Festival de Cannes 1999, una nominación al Oscar por Mejor Corto Animado, el Premio Lawrence Kasdan por Mejor Película Narrativa, Mejor Foto y Mejor Guión por el Festival de Cine de Fargo. Nació en la Ciudad de México en 1970. Estudió primero en la Academia Gerrit Rietveld en Amsterdam y después en la Rijksakademie en 1996. Es uno de los más importantes artistas contemporáneos de México, ampliamente reconocido por sus abstracciones planas y rotundas. Trabaja en una gran cantidad de media, incluyendo animación en video, pintura, dibujo y grabado digital, escultura y performance. Uno de sus últimos trabajos de animación Useless Wonder fue exhibido durante la Feria de Arte Miami Basel. Más recientemente, Amorales ha tenido muestras individuales en el MALBA de Buenos Aires, la Milton Keynes Gallery del Reino Unido, la Galería Yvon Lambert en Paris y el MUCA en Ciudad de México. Born in 1970 in Mexico City. He studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and at the Rijksakademie in 1996. One of the most important Mexican contemporary artists, known for his flat, bold forms, Amorales works in a wide variety of media, including video animation, painting, drawing, sculpture, and performance. His latest animation piece, Useless Wonder (2006) was shown at the Miami Basel art fair. Recently, Amorales has had solo exhibitions at the MALBA in Buenos Aires, the Milton Keynes Gallery in Milton Keynes, UK, Yvon Lambert Paris, and MUCA in Mexico City. The artist’s work is featured in many public and private collections, including the MoMA in New York, La Colección Jumex in Mexico City, the Cisneros Foundation Collection in New York, the Margulies Collection in Miami and the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin.

Is an American independent filmmaker, whose animated films have screened around the world, collectively receiving over 200 awards. Some notable honors include a Short Film Palm D’or nomination at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival, a 2001 Oscar nomination for Best Animated Short, the Lawrence Kasdan Award for Best Narrative Film, Best Picture and Best Screenplay from the Fargo Film Festival. In 2010, at the age of 33, Don received the San Francisco International Film Festival’s “Persistence of Vision” Lifetime Achievement Award. The A/V Film Club Critics ranked ‘It’s Such a Beautiful Day’ number 8 on their Top Ten list of the Best Films of 2012 and the LA Film Critic’s Assocation named it ‘Runner-Up’ for Best Animated Feature Film of 2012. The Indiewire film critics collectively ranked Hertzfeldt number 9 on their list of the Best Film Directors of 2012.
Born in 1985, is an Irish writer and director based in Los Angeles. He has won a Golden Bear for Best Shortfilm, an IFTA award for Animation, the Grand Prize in Ottawa, Stuttgart and Fantoche, among many other awards. As a guest speaker he has been invited to Yale, Pixar Animation Studios, CalArts, among other places. He created several animation sequences and props for the film ‘Son of Rambow’ as well as animation for the guide sequences in ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ with Shynola. He made the video ‘I’ll go crazy’ for the Irish rock band U2. ‘The External World’, was screened in the premiere of the Venice Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival.
