Director of Operations
hris Jacobs was named director of men’s basketball operations in May of 2011 after serving seven years as assistant director of operations. The native of Arlington Heights, Ill., continues to handle day-to-day operations for the men’s basketball program, including team travel, equipment, apparel, scheduling, budget and compliance matters. As assistant director of operations, Jacobs also coordinated the team’s summer camps and coaching clinics, implemented and ran the Coaches Club and its related fund-raising initiatives. Before assuming that full-time position, Jacobs was a graduate assistant while working on his master’s degree at Georgia State. Prior to arriving at Georgia Tech, Jacobs spent two seasons (2000-02) as an assistant coach at Division II LeMoyne, and prior to that served one year as an administrative assistant for the men’s basketball staff at Northwestern. A 1999 graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jacobs earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration there and played two seasons of varsity basketball. He received his master’s in sports administration from Georgia State in May of 2004. Jacobs and his wife Lisa have a daughter, Hannah.

Prior to Dayton, Bewley served as the assistant strength and cconditioning coach at Georgia Southern from 2002-05. Bewley developed and implemented conditioning programs for basketball, baseball, soccer, a and volleyball, and assisted with the Eagles’ 11 other sporting programs. a Bewley graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1998 with a major in physical education. He then moved to the University of Nevada in m Reno, where he was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach R and sports nutritionist. He earned his Master’s in education leadership from a Nevada in 2002. N The native of Louisville, Ky., is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist and a sports performance nutritionist, as well as a USA Weighlifting s Level I Olympic club coach.
