Dr. Barkalow is a professor of zoology and forestry at North Carolina State University. Dr. Ernest Lindsey, ChE, professor of chemical engineering at the University of Massachusetts, has been named a Diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.

ME, is now president of Essochem Europe Inc. The Innes reside at 139 Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, Brussels 5, Belgium.

IM, of Atlanta, Georgia died April 2, 1971. Mr. Collins was president of the Sirloin Junction Enterprises, a restaurant firm. Survivors include a wife and two daughters. General Raymond G. Davis (USMC), ChE, has become the assistant commandant of the Marine Corps after promotion to the rank of full general. Jr., IM, has been elected a director of the American Federal Savings and Loan Association. Mr. Smith is president of the Macon Electric Co., and vice president of C. W. Farmer Co. » /l r-\ William B. Massey, IM, has been named executive vice president and manager of Pruden Insurance Agency of Dalton, Georgia. Mr. Massey has been director of underwriting for the Southeastern Branch of Gulf Insurance Company, is the immediate past president of Georgia Chapter, Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, and past president of Insurance Fieldman's Association of Georgia. Harden, Jr., TE, has been appointed director of engineering at Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. Dr. Earl W. McDaniel, Phys, has been named Georgia's "Scientist of the Year'' for 1971. Dr. McDaniel is a regent's professor of physics at Georgia Tech. H. E. Thiel, IE, has been appointed vice president-manufacturing for Forest Products, furniture manufacturer in Morristown, Tennessee.
