Mr. Carter who was president of Pepperell Manufacturing Company in 1965, will continue to operate from the company's corporate offices at West Point. We recently learned that Herbert Donaldson, Atlanta, died. Robert B. Flowers, Sr., EE, died August 16 in a plane crash. Mr. Flowers was a retired employee of the General Electric Company. Mr. Flowers' son, Robert, Jr., EE '52, also died. ' f ^ /I Ira H. Hardin, ME, has been ^ _ ^ T appointed chairman of the board, chief executive officer of the Ira H. Hardin Company. Edward Orville Hussey, GE, a civic leader and long-time employee of Alabama Power Company, died January 5. Mr. Hussey had worked 42 years with the utility in various cities of Alabama. John J. Hill, EE, has recently been promoted to zone manager of the southeastern public power zone for Westinghouse in Washington, D.C. We recently learned that James S. Mays, ME, died November 12, 1967. Edward E. Sack, AE, has accepted a position with the space division of North American Rockwell Corporation, builder of the Apollo spacecraft command and service modules in which three astronauts will make the lunar trip. Mr. Sack is responsible for the administration of all contracts and for the preparation of proposals for new business. He and his family reside at 24 Stallion Road, Rolling Hills, California. Ben P. Early in 1968 he completed the requirements for a PhD in economics from the University of Florida. Mr. Dukes is listed in Who's Who in the East as an educator and in the Library of Congress Listings of Latin-Americanists. ,
