FACES IN T H E N E W S Jack C. Jones, '53, has been appointed as associate of Harza Engineering Company, Chicago. He joined the firm in 1956. He is assistant head of the Foundations, Soil Mechanics, and Geology Division. Fritz Suchke, '53, an associate in Curtis and Davis Architects, of New Orleans and New York, is now heading their London Office. He headed the Berlin office for three years and although he lives in London, still oversees both offices. Eugene Cox Dunwody, '55, has opened the firm of Eugene Cox Dunwody, Architect, in Macon, Ga. Associated with him will be J. L. Tibley Jennings, '64, of Milledgeville, and Robert C. Buland.

William A. Meeker, '57, has been appointed plant superintendent of Handy & Harman Tube .Company. He joined the firm in 1965 as Supervisor of Production Planning and Inventory Control. He has had extensive supervisory experience in the metalworking trades. Robert A. Ogletree, '57, has been appointed manager of the Tire Cord Manufacturing for OwensCorning Fiberglas Corporation. He joined OwensCorning in 1963 as a process and quality control technologist at the firm's Technical Center in Granville, 0. Charles F. Howe, '58, has been appointed general manager of Redman Homes, Eastern. He will head the Dallas, Tex. based company's newly formed pre-built sectional homes division in Hazleton, Pa.

Homer B. Lovvorn, '58, has been named a vice president of the North Carolina National Bank in Charlotte. He joined NCfle last year, after earlier experience in managerhint consulting.

Jean A. Mori, '58, has assumed additional responsibilities with Management Science America, Inc. He is a vice president of the national management consulting and computer software firm.

McCaughan, ChE, has been named assistant superintendent of the Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company's pulp mill. Edgar L. McGee, ChE, has been promoted to engineering supervisor of the conversion section in the technical division of Humble's Baytown Refinery. Robert G. Moulton, IM, has recently accepted a position with Burlington Industries, Burlington, North Carolina, as a detail assistant to division manager. He was previously associated with Deering Milliken.

Donald L. Chapman, IM, has recently joined the professional staff of Management Science America, Inc., as a project engineer. Capt William N. Johnson, E E , has been decorated with the Silver Star and his third award of the Air Medal at Perrin AFB, Texas, for combat action during his recent tour of duty in Southeast Asia. Charles E. Porter, ChE, has been elected treasurer of the Student Association at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Married: William T. Poteet, Jr., IE, to Miss Marilyn Kay Adams, May 4. Mr. Poteet served as captain and pilot with the US Air Force and is presently associate director of the Georgia Tech National Alumni Association. The newlyweds will reside in Atlanta. Dr. Theodore T. Robin, Jr., ME, has been appointed assistant professor of radiology at Emory University. Dr. Robin has been working at Emory on research in the area of space radiation effects on man. Capt. Thomas M. Turner, IE, of Winston-Salem, has received the Air Medal for meritorious service as a C-130 Hercules pilot in missions over Vietnam. Capt. Turner participated in a night parachute delivery of munitions against a heavy defended target, the Thanh Hoa Bridge, and successfully completed his mission. ' O O Born to: Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D (—- L. Adamson, a son, Jeffrey Lee, February 17. Hilton J. Arnold, II, IM, has been promoted to captain in the US Air Force. Capt. Arnold is a weapons controller at Cape Charles Air Force Station, Virginia. He is a member of the Aerospace Defense Command. Engaged: Robert John Charnley, Jr. to Miss Ada Catherine Mosley.

Mr. Charnley is associated with Bothwell and Associates, Architects. James C. Cooper, E E , is currently working for IBM in the area of engineering information system in the systems development division. Born to: Lt. & Mrs. Donald S. Gentry, IE, a daughter, Anne Randolph, on January 30. Lt. Gentry is at the Naval Post-graduate School in Monterey, California studying for a master's degree in computer science. Maj. Robert M. Gomez, MS, has arrived at the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia, to begin studies with the 43rd class of the college. Alex Green, ChE, has been promoted to production manager for all plastic specialty products with Baxter Laboratories, Inc., Morton Grove, Illinois. Dale L. Jennings, ChE, died March 6. Mr. Jennings was engaged in research on electrical insulating oils for Esso Research and Engineering Company in Baytown, Texas. He is survived by a wife and a daughter. Robert Preston Lewis, Text., has completed his initial training at Delta Air Lines' training school at the Atlanta Airport and is now assigned to the airline's Atlanta pilot base as a second officer. Dan H. Norton. Jr., EE, has recently been promoted to staff programmer at the IBM Space Systems Center, Huntsville, Alabama. R. G. Ouellete, EE, has received his master's degree in aeronautics and astronautics from MIT. Married: John Kenneth Pfohl, III, IM, to Miss Pamela Ann Jones, March 23. The newlyweds will live in Atlanta. Born to: Mr. & Mrs. F. Manuel Reyes, ME, a daughter, Lori Elna. Mr. Reyes is now a project engineer with Phillips Fibers Corporation in Greenville, South Carolina. The family resides at 109 Wellington Drive, Mauldin, South Carolina, 29662. Jr., ME, has received a MBA degree from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania. Bruce P. Ellen. II, IM, has recently been employed as a pilot with Pan American World Airways based in San Francisco. Engaged: Paul Robert Harris, ChE, to Miss Nancy Ellen Wolf.
