OBITUARY Rick Allen Chaney: Oct. 17, 1955- Sept. 28, 2011 Rick passed away on September 28, 2011. He was born on October 17, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Leonard and Carol Chaney. They moved to Leadville, Colorado, when he was one year old. He graduated from Lake County High school in 1973. He has lived in Rifle the past 25 years. He worked for Dahl of Glenwood Springs for the past 23 years. Rick enjoyed playing cards, golf, horseshoes, and playRICK ALLEN CHANEY ing on a pool league. He especially loved spending time with his dogs Skeeter and Foxy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Carol Chaney. He is survived by a brother Larry (Venita) Chaney; sister Lynetta (Troy) Trevathan; his four nephews: Derek Chaney, children Cambria and Kira; Coby (Jennifer) Chaney, children Emily and Creighton; Clint (Sheila) Warfel, children Wyatt and Levi, and Randy (Mary) Warfel. Rick will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and many fiends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15 at Rifle’s Elk Lodge at 2 p.m.

COMMUNITY COMMUNITY NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS BOWLING LEAGUES BEGIN IN JANUARY Rifle Fireside Lanes introduces Branded Bowling. This league will be a 12-week, non-sanctioned league, every Wednesday night from 7-10p.m., starting Jan. 18. Every week, there will be a Strike Pot Winner who will receive a $200 voucher redeemable at Mountain Ink Tattoo in Glenwood Springs toward a tattoo of their choice.
