PEER REVIEW


You will be asked to periodically review the work of your fellow classmates according to the 10 core values upon which this course is based. You will be asked to review the blog postings from the course Writing Challenge, Social Good Challenge and/or the Action Challenges throughout the term. You to complete this exercise you will be asked to do the following: •Read blog postings by other students •Post a comment on a blog entry to vote for the 2 heroic traits that you believe are best demonstrated by the writing. •You will be periodically assigned badges for the 1-2 traits that your writing consistently communicates to your peers. Votes will be tallied at periodic intervals in the class.


Badges To view your badges, you will need to take the following steps: 1) First open an account on http://www.credly.com . By the start of class you will receive your first “Welcome to the Class” badge. To accept the badge, create an account on the site. Then, look for the “My Credits” option on your profile. You can get to this by clicking on your name in the upper right of the screen:

You should see your new “Earned” badge under the “Earned” tab.


2) To properly store your badge, click on the “Category” tab:

and click “Add Category” give a name for your new category such as “GSP13”.


3. Once you have created the category, click on the </> icon:

4. You will now need to “Get the Embed Code” for the badges you will copy into this category. Tick the “Display badge titles” and “Display issuer names” boxes. Choose 12 for the “Number of Badges displayed” and select the “540px” column. Once you have chosen these options, click “Get Embed Code” button.


5. Now, you will need to copy the embed code that appears in the box and paste the code into a cell of this google spreadsheet: http://bit.ly/16b9RUQ . NOTE: YOU WILL ONLY NEED TO DO STEPS 2-5 ONCE :)

6. Once you have copied the code, you’ll now need to return to your “Earned” tab move your badge into your new “GSP 13” badge category. You will do this by rolling over your badge and clicking “Manage”.


7. On the following screen, click the “Select Category� button

8. Then select the name of the category you created to add your badge to the category.

From this point on, all you will need to do to follow steps #6 and #7 to add badges to your GSP 13 category. When you do, the most recent 12 badges in the GSP 13 category will appear on the course website!
