Volunteering for Girl Scouts and Events Required for new series or event volunteers.
This is a 25-minute, self-paced, streamlined online orientation for series and event volunteers who are new to the organization and want to share their time and skills with girls in a one-time event or the series pathway (meeting girls for only a few weeks or months, not a full year). This training is broken down into six parts: What Girl Scouts Do; Mission, Promise, and Law; Girl Scout Cookies; Staying Safe; Ages and Stages: What Girl Scouts are Like; and Ready to Work with Girls. 1. Visit the website training.girlscouts.org and click on Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events. 2. Enter the password for this training: volunteer. 3. Enter your contact information and select our council name, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, as prompted. 4. Complete the training at your own pace; it should take about 25 minutes. Your information will be sent to us so we will know you have completed the course.
