Inclusive Teaching Participants Reunion & Appreciation Luncheon

Date: Wednesday, April 10th Time: 12:15- 1:15 pm Location: Science Center, Room 2016 (Armstrong) or via Zoom The COSM DEI Collaborative invites all participants from any of our prior Inclusive Teaching Lunch & Learn events to join us on April 10th in (Room) for a reunion and appreciation luncheon sponsored by the Dean. At this event we hope faculty will share any new strategies they implemented from our sessions on Strategies of Engagement, Syllabi, Assessment, or just general Inclusive Teaching Practices while enjoying lunch and the company of your peers. As Time allows, the collaborative is also seeking input on the planning for the Spring 2025 Lunch and Learn Series, in particular, what topics are currently the most vital to student success through our teaching. Freedom Run

Date: April 27th, 2024 Location: military science building, statesboro campus The 10th Annual Freedom Run 5K/10K is hosted by the Eagle Battalion Army ROTC. Proceeds from the race support scholarships and additional education and training opportunities for Cadets. The Freedom Run 5K/10K is a family-friendly event! We encourage participants of all ages and skill levels. 5K Run/Walk/Crawl: Participants of all ages and skill levels. 5K Ruck: For runners 13 and over, the ruck division allows participants the opportunity to compete in a little more challenging event. Participants must use their own weighted rucksacks, backpacks, or vests and must maintain the minimum weight at all times. (Females: 30lbs, Males: 40lbs) There will be a weigh-in before and after the race. 10K Run: We ask that that participants maintain at least a jogging pace. No walkers.
