Five presentations from Georgia Southern faculty and students (undergraduate and graduate) at the 2023 Southeastern Division of the Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting in Norfolk, Virginia. Jade Lee in the Applied Geography Master’s Program won best Graduate Poster for SEDAAG 2023. Alexander Perry won MVP for the SEDAAG World Geobowl Competition. He also won MVP previously in 2021. The Georgia Team (consisting of all Georgia Southern students --Alexander Perry, Jade Lee, Jackson Havens, Kashayla Garcia, Rebecca Neely, Jesse Indeche) won the SEDAAG World Geobowl Competition.
Biochemistry senior Jasmine Rodriguez of the dela Cerna Group (BCP) was recognized with a "Presentation Award" in the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) held in Phoenix, AZ, Nov. 15-18th. She presented her work entitled, "Recombinant expression of the kinase domain of an atypical mitogen activated protein kinase, MAPK4." Jasmine is supported by a McNair scholarship.
