ACROSS THE BOUNDARIES Journey to the Future
In terms of fostering individual identities, it is important to educate students to have the abilities to understand different viewpoints of others. Living in the era of pain and disappointment caused by racism and discrimination, they should learn how to collaborate to make ties of stronger relationships: Such bond is only possible when students are placed in a space where they could understand others’ socio-cultural identities and their dignity. The project “Across the Boundaries” is a school to be designed to allow students to interact to build more supportive relationships in the local community. A ramp is made based on a set of logics using a material (wax) study. The modified spaces on the top of the fluid circulation offers students with the opportunities in which they can experience more favorable moments with one another.
