The Kilmacolm & Port Glasgow Agricultural Show and the Houston & Killellan Kirk Carnival had fabulous weather on the 13th May. Both events had a brilliant turnout.

Here’s hoping that the other events coming in June will have the same weather!

Lilias Day in Kilbarchan and the Houston & Killellan Agricultural Society Show are both on Saturday 3rd June, followed by the Renfrew Gala Day on Sunday 4th June.

The Lochwinnoch Gala Day and the Bridge of Weir Gala Day are both on Saturday 10th June the following weekend.

The Kilbarchan Agricultural Show, the Howwood Village Fete and the Barshaw Gala Day are on Saturday 17th June.

This year is the 140th anniversary year of the Boys’ Brigade and as part of their celebrations Paisley & District Battalion would like to hear from any former members, friends or members of the public about their memories of the 1983 Centenary. There is more on this, as well as contact details, on page 8.
