We designed IronClad and SuperWatch with the Commercial Trap Fisherman in mind. Years of experience has taught us the environments of lobster and crab fishing create some of the most abrasive conditions our garments face: sharp wire, barnacles, and long hours on deck shred even the burliest fabrics with ease. Our constant obsession with solving the problems fishermen face, and keeping them protected led us to partner with SuperFabric®. SuperFabric® technology takes a piece of fabric and overlays it with small plates (“guard plates”) in specific arrangements. The gaps between guard plates allow complete flexibility while creating a cut and tear resistant surface. The geometry, thickness, and size of the guard plates, along with the base fabric, can be varied depending on the desired attributes. SuperFabric® materials are designed to deliver a range of performance features such as abrasion resistance, stain resistance, quick drying, and weight reduction. When compared to heavier double layered PVC options. Using a waterproof breathable membrane and engineering SuperFabric® into abrasion zones, we created the Ironclad/SuperWatch Jacket and Bib to be a lighter weight and more robust solution than our core PVC products, ensuring fisherman can stay comfortable, protected, and worry-free about shredding their apparel. 22

The Net-Sourced® collection was built with one goal in mind; push the limits of what is possible in building technical apparel from recycled materials. Using ECONYL® regenerated nylon, and Bureo® recycled plastics we are able to offer a wide variety of products from technical outerwear to functional sportswear. In addition to building this collection from ECONYL® fabrics, Grundéns has teamed up with Net Your Problem to raise awareness, promote, and help with the logistics of recycling used fishing gear. Once this material has been collected, cleaned and packaged it is shipped off to various material recyclers to create the building blocks needed for sustainable products.

GrundĂŠns rubber boots are built to be comfortable and durable, but like anything they need proper care to keep lasting performance. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Lets face it you buy your rubber boots to work in and keep you comfortable in harsh conditions. Those environments lead to basic wear and tear. To keep your boot looking fresh try using vegetable oil or silicone oil on a clean dry cloth. Never use heat to speed up the drying process of your boots, and never expose your boots to alkaline solvents, or detergents. CLEANING: Cleaning your rubber boots is simple wipe them clean, using only cold soapy water, and leave them to air dry naturally. Never use strong alkaline detergents or solvents to clean your boots as they can lead to breaking down rubber compounds. STORAGE: To ensure your rubber boots last a long time, its important for them to be as dry and clean as possible before storing them. Its best to keep your boots in a cool, dry, well ventilated location. Away from direct sunlight, heaters, fireplaces, and radiators.
