This years queen will be crowned at the 2022 OJAA Regionals. This describes the events of the contest and what your duties will be at all Oregon Angus State shows. For more information, please contact: Lindsey Morgan-Ricksger

OJAQ CONTEST ELIGIBILITY:
1. Must be between the ages of 15 to 21 years of age. (Following the age guidelines for junior membership of the American Junior Angus
Association.) 2. May not have been crowned
OJAQ before. 3. IMPORTANT FOR ALL
STATE QUEENS-
State Queens are asked to help with show duties at the Oregon
State Fair and Western Regional
Show. It is your responsibility as your state queen to attend all
OJAA meetings and activities to represent your state. If you cannot you must contact the OJAA
Advisors. 4. Cannot currently be on the NJAA
Board of Directors.
DUTIES:
1. Help the current Western States
Angus Queen (WSAQ) and
Miss American Angus hand out awards and ribbons. You should be tending the ring at all times.
I understand some of you may have cattle in the show, but remember to return and help when you are not in the ring with your cattle. Be present during receptions, junior events and the sale. 2. Each queen will need to keep track of the show in their own program, it is important to be able to know the lineup and division order. 3. Keeping track in the program will also make sure each individual that receives a ribbon or award, gets the correct one. 4. Be polite and courteous, extend yourself, meet new people and make new friends. 5. Most important - HAVE FUN while doing your best to represent
Angus cattle and Angus breeders in a positive light both in person and on your social media.
