STIMMING

Geddon There The Armageddon Expo heads to Hamilton and Wellington mid-April and, as always, the yearly geekfest has plenty to brag about. From the comic book realm we’re looking at artists Carlo Pagulayan (Planet Hulk), Dave Johnson (Superman: Red Son, 100 Bullets) and comic scribe Ron Marx (Green Lantern, Star Wars, Witchblade). Tournaments to be held at the events will be Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic The Gathering, and the IRL fun continues with cosplay contests, games and parades. Film, television and anime stars announced to attend the expo include Matt Frewer (Max Headroom, Watchmen), Jon Bernthal (Shane from The Walking Dead), John Levene (Doctor Who), Tinsel Korey, Charlie Bewley and Bronson Pelletier from the Twilight films and more. All this as well as special screenings for Game Of Thrones season two and Justice League: DOOM, ignoring all of the side events like laser tag, paintball, zombie walks and just a shit load more. Armageddon hits Hamilton’s Claudelands Event Centre on Saturday 14 April and Sunday 15 April, then heads to Wellington’s TSB Bank Arena on Saturday 21 April and Sunday 22 April. Tickets are available from Ticketek.
