WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM (WeMLT…the fat away) Are you tired of making a new year’s resolution to lose weight each year only to find yourself frustrated and confused when you don’t succeed? Have you lost weight in the past only to find yourself gaining it all back…and more? Are you looking for a long term weight loss approach that allows you the freedom to live life without feeling so restricted? If you answered YES to “any” of these questions, the Weight Management and Life Transformation (WeMLT) Jump Start Program is the right choice for you! The Weight Management and Life Transformation (WeMLT) program is a comprehensive 12 week weight loss plan that combines all three segments that are necessary for long term weight loss success: customized exercise program, customized nutrition program and personal growth and development/behavior modification workshops. Because you are unique, the common “one size fits all” approach may fall short of meeting your need and desire to lose weight and inches. We provide twelve workshops that are designed to help empower you to reach your potential physically, mentally and emotionally (see below) The WeMLT program is design to support you whether you are very sedentary and want to lose a significant amount of weight and inches or you are active and just want to get that last 10 pounds off before the spring and summer begins.

Are you interested in maximizing your athletic potential while achieving outstanding success in your sport? Do you want the best opportunity to position yourself to receive an athletic scholarship? Are looking to just have more fun by improving your performance in your chosen sport? If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then participating in the Athletic Development Program is the right choice for you! The Institute of Athletic Development (IAD) is a human performance company designed to physically and mentally prepare student athletes to maximize their athletic potential. By using our powerful one-on-one and small group format, we guarantee athletes will learn the components of athletic development necessary to achieve their full athletic potential. We teach each athlete how to be a champion in every sense of the word-both on and off the field. Whether your goal is to receive a Division I scholarship or just have fun, participating in this cutting edge program will not only lead to you becoming an outstanding athlete, but also an exceptionally well-rounded individual.

YOUTH SPORTS We are proud of the growth and popularity of our Sports Department and are excited about the opportunity to offer a wide variety of youth sports programs and/or leagues. Highlighted below are our programs and leagues, but more specific information can be found on our website; www.hanoverymca.org. Our options for youth can be categorized into two formats; programs and leagues. Programs are coached by paid YMCA employees and participants practice once per week and focus on learning the fundamentals of the sport. Each participant in the programs receive a tee-shirt and participation award. Leagues are coordinated by a YMCA employee but participants are placed on teams based on their age and coached by volunteers who are trained and supervised by the coordinator. Practices occur at least once per week (depending on the age) and games are played on Saturday mornings (exception is U6 Soccer which play games on Friday nights). Each participant receives a team tee-shirt prior to the first game and a participation award at the end of the season. It is very important for league participants’ parents to review the website and registration forms for special information including parent meetings, coaches meetings, etc. Program participants’ parents need only arrive at their first scheduled practice. Most of our programs and leagues practice and play games at the Hanover facility, but we are offering off-site program and league practice locations in South Hanover and Littlestown for the convenience of our participants and their parents. The South Hanover location will be on the Burkentine & Sons fields located beside Nell’s Shurfine Markets on Baltimore Street and the Littlestown location will be the borough and Y fields. These off-site programs and leagues will be structured exactly the same as the Hanover branch programs with the same staff, same rules, etc. League teams that practice at the off-site locations will still play games at the Hanover branch.
