T
he August installment of Business After Hours was held at Hemmingway’s on Pensacola Beach, on August 13. The Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce After Hours events are designed to promote local businesses and provide a venue for networking. The Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Center helps locals stay in the know, network, and grow their business. Guests were encouraged to enjoy a little Happy Hour with fellow beach chamber members and most of all, relax, and enjoy the beach life. Several area businesses donated door prizes, for which guests put their business cards in a hat to draw for an opportunity to win. Light appetizers were provided by Hemmingway’s, and drink specials were also available. The Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce also announced their next and largest event of the year, the 12th annual Taste of the Beach. This year, the event will be held on October 19-20. A “Progressive Trolley Dinner” will be held on Friday, October 18, and will feature a trolley ride commencing at the chamber of commerce visitor information center with a champagne toast, and continue to four stops at beach restaurants for each course. Along the way, event goers will hear a little about the history of the beach and beach restaurants, as well as the chef and food they are going to experience.
