hursday September 12, Autism Pensacola held its Sweet Sixteen Connecting the Pieces Gala in Downtown Pensacola at the Studer Community Institute. Guests got to enjoy live music from Dr. Robert Sackheim, sweets from local bakery Henny Penny Patisserie, and a live and silent auction. This year the recipient of the Autism Community Spirit Award was Jacqui Oâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;Connell for her extraordinary public service that has made a positive impact on our community. Connecting the Pieces Gala is Autism Pensacolaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s major fundraiser to support individuals in our community through Kids for Camp Summer Learning Lab, safety programs and trainings to increase awareness and understanding of the needs of all those with Autism. This special event was in memory of Sharon Fink, who founded the Connecting the Pieces Gala.

Flower arrangements were presented by Celebrations, and Nancy’s Haute Affairs catered the delicious food spread. This VIP professional open house focused on gathering professionals together, connecting referrals, building relationships, and increasing community awareness. The premier provided guests with a complementary tour of the services HealthSource has to offer, as well as a chance to meet Dr. Jessica Kelly, Dr. Hart Haymaker, and Dr. Jason Robinowitz. he much-anticipated evening of celebration for the winners of Best In Pensacola was a glamorous night from beginning to end. The winners-only event took place at Scenic Hills Country Club with the celebrants arriving in style as they walked the red carpet to be greeted by photographers and the publisher of VIP Pensacola. VIP Pensacolaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s readers selected the winners in online polls earlier this summer with a record number of voting. With 200 guests in attendance, the stylish event was a way to acknowledge the hard work by so many businesses and individuals in the community.

After the wonderful dinner provided by Scenic Hills Country Club, winners in each category crossed the stage as they were presented their awards. Next, many of the winners moved to the dance floor with their award for a Champagne toast to further celebrate their win. Best In Pensacola winners also enjoyed an evening of dancing with music by Powell Entertainment. The evening was a fabulous way to celebrate these businesses, service providers, and professionals in our area. harlene Sanders and Steve Gracik graciously opened their home to host “Pinot and Paws” for the A Hope for Santa Rosa County Organization on September 8. A wonderful gathering of like-minded individuals was held to spread the word about A Hope’s mission of educating on spay/neuter opportunities, pet ownership responsibilities, and the necessity of fundraising to run the organization.Vice President/Chairman of the Board Paige Cary, and President/ Executive Director Brandi Winkleman spoke about the new programs A Hope has to offer, including Bowl Fillers, which helps provide elderly citizens with pet food and medication costs, so they don’t have to split their limited resources with their animals. Also new to the organization is an opportunity for donors to pledge a monthly sponsorship, which will help the organization with sustainability, and applications for grants to help build the low cost spay/neuter clinic in the future. A Hope for Santa Rosa County is a small group of passionate individuals aiming to make big changes for the companion animals and community cats in community neighborhoods. all is the season for camping. When it comes to camping, it’s all about simplicity and ease. One of the things that is the most challenging while roughing it in the great outdoors is cooking. Whether you are cooking over an open camp fire or outdoor grill, here are some tips, tricks, and meal planning ideas to make your stay in the wilderness easy and enjoyable. There is more to camping meals than sandwiches and hotdogs. Most people feel like they are quite limited when it comes to meals while camping. However, if you go prepared, you can have a variety of delicious and fi lling meals. Prepping things like fruits, vegetables, meat, and eggs, not only saves time but space in your cooler as well. Dice your vegetables and meats before your trip and store them in zip lock bags for space saving storage. Crack your eggs in a bowl, whisk, and pour into a container like a recycled coffee creamer container. That allows you to take more eggs and have a mess free pour at breakfast time. Freeze gallons of water and place them in the bottom of your cooler. The jugs will act as ice packs, when they melt you have extra drinking water. Store spices in a pill dispenser. That way you can take several spices without taking up extra space. When it’s time to cook, there are several essential supplies for cooking outdoors. The first is a cast iron skillet. Cast iron is a wonderful heat conductor. Since it stays seasoned, you don’t really have to clean it. Just give it a good wipe after eat use and keep it nice and oiled. The possibilities of what you can cook in a cast iron pan are endless. The other camping cooking must-have is aluminum foil. The easiest way to cook dinner is to take all of your ingredients, wrap them up in foil, and then put them over heat. You can put the foil packs on the grill or directly in the coals of the camp fire. In around ten minutes, you’ll have complete individual meals with almost no clean up. Whether you’ve fired up the grill or hanging around the fire, camping meals are easy to make and take no time at all to cook. Not only are these ideas perfect for camping but anytime of the year on your grill or in the oven at home. From vegetables to shrimp these recipes are going to have people flocking to your campsite this fall.

Hawaiian Chicken Foil Pack !"#$%&!%"'() • 2 chicken breasts • 1 cup bbq sauce your favorite • 1 can pineapple slices drained • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
• 2 teaspoon garlic minced • 1 sweet bell pepper chopped • 1/4 onion sliced • salt and pepper to taste
&!$%*'!+"() 1. Preheat the grill to medium or 350°F. In two thin (or 1 heavy) sheets of aluminum foil, place 1 chicken breast each and season with salt and pepper. Place 2-3 pineapple slices on top of each chicken breast. Divide and top pineapple slices with the onion and sweet pepper. 2. In a bowl, combine the bbq sauce, soy sauce, and garlic. 3. Pour the sauce evenly over both foil packets, but reserve ¼ cup and set aside. 4. Seal the contents of the foil packets and place on the grill. Grill the packets for 10-13 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Flip the packets halfway through grilling. 5. When cooking time is up, open the packets and drizzle in the rest of the sauce remaining.

• 2 tsp. ground cinnamon • pinch of kosher salt • 2 1/3 cup Bisquick Mix • 1/2 cup milk • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. sugar, divided
&!$%*'!+"() 1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine fruit, 1/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt. Seal tightly and shake bag until fruit is evenly coated. 2. In another large resealable plastic bag, combine Bisquick and milk. Seal and mix, kneading with your hands, until completely combined. 3. Butter a large cast-iron skillet. Add fruit mixture and top with Bisquick topping. Sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. 4. Cover with foil and cook over a campfire until biscuits are no longer doughy and fruit is warm and bubbly, 50 minutes. 5. Let cool 20 minutes, then serve.

he 2019 Covenant Care Walk for Alzheimer’s and Block Party was held on September 7 at Seville Square. Walkers were invited to bring the family and their pets to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s, celebrate life, and enjoy local food trucks. Registration was free, but a donation of more than $20 received a special commemorative t-shirt. Leading up to the event, participants were encouraged to build teams and fundraise to support local Alzheimer’s programs. Various awards were given for accomplishments such as largest team, and most funds raised. Teams included Team Hope, FoodRaising Friends, Unforgettable, Mall walkers, The Hurd Team powered by KWRGC, Covenant Care Residence Team, KWRGC, Covenant Care Sales Team, We’re ALZ In, and Team Ryan. All funds raised stay local in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, and can be counted as tax deductions. The money raised will enable Covenant Care to educate area caregivers and the public on various components of Alzheimer’s disease, provide memory screenings and virtual dementia tours, offer support and education groups, respite care, counseling and access to free tracking devices for wandering patients through Project Lifesaver. Since 1983, Covenant Care has been a trusted non-profit hospice provider originating in Pensacola, Florida. Covenant Care provides a continuum of services, including hospice and palliative care, home health care, and memory care, throughout 34 counties in North Florida and South Alabama. Their collaborative team of specialists includes physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, bereavement specialists, spiritual care coordinators, personal care aides and volunteers. Through numerous partnerships with hospitals, nursing facilities, assisted living communities and other organizations throughout the service area, Covenant offers care wherever patients call home.

T
he Clover Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl was held on September 6 at the Lou Ross Center of Pensacola State College. This unique event is Manna’s annual fundraiser, created with an artsy twist featuring the work of local artists and the fare of local vendors. Attendees are invited to pick out a one-of-a-kind clay bowl to keep, and use it to sample some of the best soups in town! This event was made possible by the faculty, students, and friends of the Pensacola State College Visual Arts Department, First City Arts Center, local artists, businesses, including vendors providing sponsorships and donations of art, food, beverages and other in-kind goods and services. The event added “The Clover” to the official name after the late Bill Clover, who was a pivotal force in helping this event gain popularity. Clover’s talent was in making pottery, as well as teaching the craft to others. A Pensacola State College visual arts professor for 52 years, Clover was one of the organizers of the event that eventually became known as Pick A Bowl Fill A Bowl. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs, Manna fills a number of gaps in services to children and the elderly in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Manna provides a number of programs and services addressing the hunger challenges facing more families in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties than ever.

Enjoying a Good Book story by Mary Aho
J
.K Rowling once said, “I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.” In today’s world it can be hard to find the time to sit down and enjoy a “good book.” When you have others to share it with, it can make it a little easier. Book clubs have been around for centuries, starting as a women’s rights movement in the 1800s when women were prohibited from attending college and intellectual gatherings. In the past, they would secretly meet and read together and expand their knowledge. Today, book clubs are anything but a secret. They are worldwide and an estimated five million people in the United States belong to a book club. If starting a book club seems like a daunting task to you, think again! To start, all you need is a group of friends (or new friends) and a shared love of reading. From there, it’s completely up to you how you would like to make it your own. When starting a book club for the first time, it’s best to keep it small, around 10 members is a good size group. Next, you need to decide on what kind of structure you’re going to have. For 46

You could host at your home, a restaurant, or even your local library. Hosting at your home is the most popular. If you’re serving hors d’oeuvres make sure you keep them bite sized. Conversation will be flowing and you don’t want your guests to be caught with a mouthful when its their turn to talk. It’s fun to match your snacks to the book you’re reading. If your book takes place in Paris,
consider serving charcuterie and macaroons. There is so much room for creativity. Wine is a very popular libation among book clubs- and if you plan on serving wine, it’s nice to have a red and a white option. The possibilities are endless when it comes to book clubs. You can do all males, all females, co-ed, or even a certain age group. Coming together as a group and making it your own is all part of the fun. At the end of the day, the food, topic, or place doesn’t really matter. A book club is all about coming together and sharing your love of literature with friends.

he First Tee of Northwest Florida hosted the David Feherty live Off Tour show at the Saenger Theatre on September 19. His popular two-hour, oneman comedy show, and question-and-answer session with the audience featured Pensacola on its list of national stops. The New York Times called him “a cross between Oprah Winfrey and Johnny Carson.” With a sharp wit and irreverent style, the professional golfer turned golf analyst, talk show host and sports broadcaster has made a name for himself as one of the most hilarious and irrepressible personalities in golf. Golf Digest said Feherty’s show was, “Uncensored and unhinged, and worth the price of admission. It really was stupendous.” The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette raved, “David Feherty was uproariously funny. It was two hours of zaniness and madcap storytelling. People were coming out of their seats with laughter.” Feherty said, “I think The First Tee is an extremely important program in getting kids involved, especially under-privileged children, and giving them the chance to see what the game is all about.” He became an outstanding professional golfer during his era, winning 10 times as a pro, including five times on the European Tour. He finished tied for fourth in the 1994 British Open, and tied for seventh at the 1991 PGA Championship. He’s also authored more than a half-dozen books, and does a variety of TV programming for NBC and The Golf Channel. Proceeds from this event will benefit the local First Tee chapter to help grow junior golf.

ou see a person walking down the street. They are wearing a simple white tank top, stylish navy blue joggers, and a sleek pair of tennis shoes. Are the headed to the gym? Nope. They might be headed to a casual lunch with friends, out to run errands or to go do work in a hipster coffee shop. Gone are the days when athletic clothing is simply designed for working out and physical activities. Welcome the dawn of the athleisure era. Comfort and functionality have now collided with fashion and we are diving all-in. This look is all about turning performance wear into everyday wear and putting a fashionable spin on it. This booming industry coincides at the perfect time with an influx in physical fitness. In today’s age of Pure Barre, Cross Fit, Orange Theory and fun runs, fitness has become a trendy and social activity. Athleisure is the go-to uniform for the busy generation; always on the go while looking effortlessly stylish. You can go seamlessly from barre to brunch. For women, it’s all about the leggings. While the great, “are leggings pants?” debate is still up in the air, one thing is for sure is that we are obsessed. Highwaist black leggings are like the Little Black Dress of athleisure. n September 6, Seville Quarter hosted the Emerald Coast Beer Festival. The Festival is put on by The Escambia Bay Homebrewers and Seville Quarter to showcase more than 45 breweries, locally and throughout the United States, and is the longest running beer festival on the Gulf Coast. Guests got to enjoy tastings in their souvenir glasses from local breweries including: Perfect Plain, Brew Angels Brewery, Pensacola Bay Brewery, and St. Michaelâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Brewing Company. Along with beer tastings, they also got to enjoy food from Lone Star Tex Mex Grill and Bella Donna Catering while listening to live entertainment from The Cat Daddy Blues Band and The McGuireâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Pipe Band. Proceeds from the Emerald Coast Festival go to support two of their charities, the Alfred-Washburn Center and the Seville Rotary Club.

pera After Dark was an exciting, free event held after Gallery Night in Downtown Pensacola on September 20. Guests were invited to enjoy a unique outdoor concert like no other, featuring professional singers and local favorites. The evening featured music, food trucks, glowsticks, community engagement, and an evening under the stars. Guests were encouraged to bring a chair and a blanket, and met at the stage of the UWF Historic Trust Museum Plaza, which is directly behind the Wentworth Florida State Museum. Opera After Dark is the kick-off event that showcases five performers known as “Artists in Residence” who join the Pensacola Opera for 22 weeks during the season. Over 500 applications were submitted, 200 auditions were held, and five selections were chosen to bring the brightest young talent to Pensacola. These five artists travel throughout the community to libraries, schools, and civic community meetings to interact with the community and spread the joy of educational Opera knowledge. These selected artists also perform in the season’s selected Opera’s, of which the 2019 season includes: Easy to Love, As One, Don Giovanni, and Il Trovatore. Artists also take part in several “Opera on Tap” events held throughout the year at different local breweries to encourage exposure and engagement with the Opera. The Pensacola Opera proudly presents a bustling series of free public performances and educational programs throughout our area. Their goals are to raise awareness of the arts, to enhance the quality of life, and to educate audience members about the magical art form that is opera.

The Black Jacket Symphony offers a unique concert experience through recreating classic albums in a live performance setting. A selected album is performed in its entirety by a group of handpicked musicians specifically selected for each album, with no sonic detail being overlooked–the musicians do whatever it takes to musically reproduce the album. The performance is separated into two sets. The first set features the album being recreated as a true symphonic piece. apstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers, Inc. hosted their 12th Annual “Wine a Little, Dine a Lot!” fundraiser on August 10 at Skopelos at New World. Over 260 attendees enjoyed a delectable four-course dinner crafted by community favorite, Chef Gus Silivos, with wine pairings provided by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. The dinner opened with a heartfelt child-success story captured by videographer, David Gumpel, depicting a mom and her son overcoming challenges as a result of his in-school therapy services at Capstone Academy. Other event attractions included a silent and live auction, craft beer tastings provided by Big Beach Brewing Company, live music from violinist Maria Valentina, and a cork pull contest which included a surprise bottle of Dom Perignon. There was a chance to win tickets for a $2,500 shopping spree to Beré Jewelers, and thanks to two major event sponsors, Wind Creek Hospitality and Krewe of Gatsby Girls, everyone got to take home two wine-themed tokens to commemorate the evening. All event proceeds benefited Capstone’s children’s therapy programs where they provide important educational and therapeutic services, such as exceptional student education preschool, and speech, occupational, and physical therapies to the children within their care with special needs.

ArchaeoCafé Talk At Perfect Plain Brewing Company Explores Piracy In The Gulf Of Mexico During Early 1800s
The Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) and Perfect Plain Brewing Company are hosting ArchaeoCafé on Thursday, September 5th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. FPAN’s Mike Thomin will present “Pirates! The Last Scourge of the Gulf.” Perfect Plain Brewing Company is located at 50 E. Garden St. in downtown Pensacola. Two centuries ago, a massive wave of piracy struck the Gulf of Mexico and terrorized shipping along the Gulf coast. Florida was especially dangerous for travelers. Jean Lafitte and Charles Gibbs, two of the most notorious pirates from this period, had close ties to the Florida panhandle. One case of piracy even wound up in the court of West Florida in Pensacola and made newspaper headlines across the nation. This talk examines some of the broader aspects of piracy during the early 1800s in the Gulf and Caribbean. It also focuses on the current archaeological evidence for possible pirate ships from this period that wrecked beneath the waters of the Gulf. ArchaeoCafé is free and open to the community. Seating is unreserved. At ArchaeoCafé guests can order food, drinks, and participate in a casual and relaxed environment. Veterans National Homecare Donates $5,000 To PSC For First Generation Students Pensacola State College received $5,000 in scholarship funds from Veterans National Homecare for first-generation in college students on Aug. 19.
Denis McKinnon Sr., Denis McKinnon Jr., and Wade Wilson – on behalf of Veterans National Homecare – presented the First Generation Matching Scholarship donation to Pensacola State President Ed Meadows at the PSC Foundation office. The company has pledged a total of $15,000 to the fund scholarships. Two other annual donations of $5,000 will be made in 2020 and 2021. As available, future donations will be matched by funds from the First Generation Matching Grant Program. Pensacola State President Ed Meadows thanked the Veterans National Homecare for the scholarship dollars. McKinnon Sr., a Pensacola State alumnus and highly-decorated Vietnam War veteran, wants the scholarship dollars to help other veterans and their family members. “We just want to do the most good to help out those who have served our country in the military and their families,” McKinnon Sr., said. “These men and women make huge sacrifices when serving in the military, and we must take care of them as well as their spouses and children.” After leaving Pensacola State, McKinnon Sr., entered the U.S. Marine Corps’ Aviation Program and earned his Naval Aviation Designation in 1963. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam – one where he was injured. However, he still went on to serve 20 years as a Marine aviator. Andrea Krieger, executive director of the Pensacola State College Foundation, said the funds from Veterans National Homecare will be given to first-generation students with a preference for veterans or family members of veterans. The First Generation Matching Scholarship will be a FAFSA-based scholarship is available to full- or part-time students with a demonstrated financial need. Recipients also must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien. Scholarship recipients also must meet other requirements. The first scholarships will be awarded in fall 2020, and funds can be used for tuition, fees, books and other supplies.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Northwest Florida Announces Santa Rosa County Big Of The Year Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida announces that Big Brother Robert Keith was selected as the Santa Rosa County 2019 Big of the Year. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff chose Robert for this honor because he

is dedicated, consistent, and supportive of his two Little Brothers. Robert applied to be a Big in the program because he understood firsthand the importance of having a strong mentor at a young age. “Being the product of a single parent household myself, I felt it was my responsibility to become what I wished was available for me when I was that age.” Says Robert. A year and a half ago Robert was matched with his Little Brother Cayden who was being raised by his great grandmother. She enrolled both her grand kids, Cayden and Christian, into the program because she was not in good health and unable to leave the house with the boys as much as she wished she could. After a few outings with his Little Cayden, Robert decided he couldn’t stand to see Christian without a Big Brother. He promptly came into our office and asked if he could be matched with both of the siblings. Robert goes above and beyond the minimum responsibilities as a Big Brother. He makes sure to see both Littles every week. He even makes sure that they both get their own individual time in order to provide both boys with the attention they need. Robert mentors the boys and studies with them. He goes to school to visit them and frequently corresponds with their teachers to make sure he can help anyway he can if they are struggling. They go to church together and Robert includes them in activities with his own son and daughter. “Being a big means everything to me” says Robert “Our relationship has evolved to the point where they are part of the family.” Christian and Cayden’s great grandmother describes Robert as not only part of their family but as the boys’ guardian angel. “I am so very thankful for all he has done for my boys” she says.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida has been the area’s leader in oneto-one mentoring for 30 years by serving children ages K to 18. Last year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida served 660 children in Northwest Florida.

ourt of De Luna Event Space hosted their 80s Block Party on August 24. This was a familyfriendly event that was free of charge, open to the public and fun for all ages. Guests danced the night away to 80s-themed music played by Marty Stanovich and DJ Mas. Local artists Josh Mason and Carter J. Gaston worked on a mural that will be the newest art project on the block and take up the east facing wall going down Tarragona. The mural is meant to represent the idea of radiating positivity in the community. All of the proceeds from wine bottles sold went to the Pensacola Dream Center, which is a non-profit that helps aid human trafficking victims, as well as others in need, such as homeless and addicts. Over $1,500 dollars were raised during the event.

eep Pensacola Beautiful and First City Art Center hosted their â&#x20AC;&#x153;Pieces Adriftâ&#x20AC;? art show on September 7 at First City Art Center. A silent art auction was held in which all of the art pieces were created using discarded materials and debris found locally on our beaches and waterways. Several refreshment options were available, including Le Dough Food Truck, Who Cut the Grilled Cheese and Cake offered gourmet grilled cheese and cheesecake, and Mrs. Jones Cold Brew showcased their wonderful coffee varieties. Music for the evening was generously provided by Heather Marie, Tanya Gallagher, and Honey Daze. Each ticket came with a silent auction bid number that guests used to bid on the recycled artwork. All proceeds from the show were divided to support local First City Arts Center and Keeping Pensacola Beautiful programs. Raffle items were generously donated by several local businesses, and included: A surf rack from Waterboyz Surf and Skate Shop, a 6-month pass to Pensacola MESS Hall for up to 4 people, a gift basket from Rusted Arrow Mercantile, a chair from Urban Objects, a $50 Publix gift card, a $50 Saturn Collection gift card, a 5-class pass to URU Yoga and Beyond, two tickets to Pensacola Little Theatre, two Historic Pensacola Museum tickets and more.

What is your hometown, what brought you to PENSACOLA and how long have you been here? I was born and raised in New York City, and graduated from Grace Downs Model and Air Career School with diplomas in Fashion Photo and TV Modeling, Air Career and Airline Executive Secretarial. I wanted to be a Bunny Stewardess for Hugh Hefner who had a big, black beautiful DC-9 Playboy jet with a bunny logo on the tail. The “Bunny Mother” even set me up for an interview with Hef. He was impressed with my airline credentials, and I was Salutatorian of my graduating class. However, I was too young at the time to serve drinks. You had to be 21, and the Bunny Stewardesses were selected from Playboy bunnies of the various clubs of which I was not interested. It was fun trying on the bunny outfits and rabbit ears. I then decided to enlist in the U.S. Navy and NAS Pensacola was my first base choice. I have lived here now for over 24 years. What is your profession, and give us a brief description of what you do. I am retired military - 3 years Navy, 17 years Air Force, a retired Delta Connection fl ight attendant, former freelance model of over 15 years, and beauty queen. My Navy tour was at NAS Pensacola, where I worked at Sherman Field for AIMD (Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department) and was chosen Miss Navy Pensacola/AIMD. I was a model for various Navy and Air Force photographers, the Griffith Advertising Agency, and twice did photo shoots with the Navy Flight Demonstration team Blue Angels. I was also Gosport Girl for the base newspaper GOSPORT, Miss Photogenic for Miss Pensacola Beach, and in 2014 selected to Who’s Who in Pageantry with 3 former Miss Americas. I had the best of both worlds as a military and civilian fl ight attendant, and as an Air Force II fl ight attendant flew with the Vice President, First Lady, Congress, and Foreign Heads of State during the Bush Senior Administration. What led you to choose this profession? After college, I had a year break in service from the Navy before enlisting in the Air Force, and decided to make it a permanent career. After being Honorably Discharged, I operated a home-based business for 3 years selling cosmetics, personal care products, and nutrition supplements for NU Skin International, but still missed the excitement of flying, modeling, and competing in beauty pageants. Northwest Airlink (now Delta Connection) gave me the flexibility to do all these things because I flew part-time. My working career started in Pensacola, had 2 branches of military service, a life of adventure along the way, and travels around the world. I graduated from PJC and UWF and somehow life’s journey brought me back here where I now live in this great Gulf Coast area.
