STUDENT AFFAIRS Phyllis Mable, Vice President for Student Affairs encouraged students to become in-
volved at Longwood last year. She along with other student service groups promoted extra-curricular activities to enhance a student's overall education. She helped orga-
nize the Civility Week at Longwood in March and the special Student Appreciation Dinner.
Sue Saunders, Dean of Students, advised students and organizations with planning of activities. Advertising posters and banners were approved by her before posting them. She worked directly with the Housing Staff to help keep residence hall problems to a minimum. The installation of new security doors had a great impact on students: Sue Saunders was a Sounding Board for student problems.
