MEDICAL STAFF SPOTLIGHT Children’s Hospital of Greenville Health System (GHS) welcomes several new physicians to the GHS Medical Staff.
Meet Our New Physicians General Pediatrics Anthony E. Delgado, MD, graduated from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He completed his Pediatrics residency at the National Capitol Consortium at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda. Dr. Delgado has worked as head of the pediatrics departments at U.S. Naval Hospitals in Okinawa, Japan and Rota, Spain. He also served as chairman of the Department of Pediatrics and medical director of the Newborn Nursery at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia. For the last four years, Dr. Delgado has been deployed as a general pediatrician in Djibouti, Africa, and in Latin American and the Caribbean. He is working at the Greenville Pediatric Health Center. Krom, DO, earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. He completed his Pediatrics residency at GHS. Easter L. Pennington, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington. She completed her Pediatrics residency at GHS. Pediatric Endocrinology Melissa D. Garganta, MD, earned her medical degree from University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at GHS, where she served as chief resident the year after graduation. Dr. Garganta completed a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
