TTrumbull County is rich in history and locally owned, independent restaurants. Pies and Thighs takes homemade Amish cooking right to the source. This reservation-only dining experience, hosted in an Amish home, includes chicken, fresh bread, traditional sides, and pie! Kravitz Delicatessen has been a Trumbull County mainstay since 1939. Pull up a chair for a plate of corned beef hash, Reuben, or order a dozen bagels to enjoy at home. The Mocha House offers freshly made breakfast and lunch specials with fresh and imaginative choices. Salvatore’s Italian Grill is another local favorite, also opening its first location in the 1930s. This upscale-casual spot is known for its steaks, fresh seafood, pasta, and the ever-popular hot peppers in oil. Traditional barbecue lovers will find lots to love at Cockeye BBQ and Creamery , where handrubbed meats are smoked on-site over local hardwood for up to 14 hours. Hop on a re-purposed train dining car for a meal at Rhonda’s Emerald Diner and try the Peggy Lee’s Patty Melt, a Big Bopper Shake, or the Hound Dog hot dog.
