Ecovía, “Baca Ortiz” --------------------------------Esta Plaza, hasta hace poco tiempo un parque forma parte del proceso de revitalización del barrio de la Mariscal. A pocos metros de la famosa Plaza Foch, la Plaza Gabriela Mistral ofrece un espacio de descanso, lectura y actividades culturales muy cerca de todos los servicios que ofrece esta zona cosmopolita de Quito.
Nice and quiet Park situated just few meters from the Amazonas Avenue; this is an ideal place for resting, reading or just to talk with your friends. At the interior you will find 5 bronze sculptures in tribute to important characters of the liberal time.
This Square, -a park until recently time- is part of the revitalization process that is taking place at La Mariscal district. Desde el mirador en la parte alta del barrio se encuentran varios bares y lugares de encuentro a lo largo del camino de piedra que llega hasta la Iglesia de Guápulo en su parte baja. This Bohemian district of Quito is located in the city’s Eastern flank from where Francisco de Orellana departed on his trip that ended with the discovery of the Amazon River. From the viewpoint in the upper part of this district to the lower side that arrives to the Church of Guápulo the cobble stone road is home to several bars and places to hang out.
