Your energy generating trekking poles

How do the poles generate energy?

Everytime the poles get pushed on the ground the tip sinks in the inner pole, because of a metal spring. When the spring can not be squeezed anymore (after 5 mm) and the pole is lifted from the ground the tip jumps out of the pole again. With the movement of the pole tip and its linked lever two gearwheels are rotated. These again rotate a condensator which generates energy for either an LED lamp at the front of the pole or a USB-connection at the top of the pole. The gearwheels have the biggest possible size-difference, so the most revolutions are reached.

What is the generated energy used for? The generated energy can be used by turning on a little LED in front of the pole, so you could go on adventures also at night without bringing your flashlight! The possibility to use the energy is a USB connection on top of the pole, for which the condensator saves the energy for a little amount of time. So, for example you can charge your phone after your hike without having any other source of energy/electricity.

Why are the poles called DynaGO? The technology of the poles, to generate energy is the same as in the dynamo flashlights we all know from when we were kids. Because of that the name has the dyna in it and instead of the ending MO they have the ending GO to symbolize movement.

For what can the poles be used? The poles are hightechnology trekking and also skiing poles. They are lightweight and very stable. They can be used in winter for skiing, hiking or ski touring as well as in the summer for trekking and hiking tours. With the function to generate energy they are even more useful.

What are the measures? With a simple quick release system the poles can be adjusted in height. Also the loops for the hands can be adjusted in order to fit every kind of person and kids too!

Are they heavier than normal poles? The poles weigh a tiny bit more than other poles because of the condensator and the gearwheels. But with lightweight other materials at other parts of the poles the weight is balanced again. The feeling when you use the poles stays the same as with other ones.

The measures

The height of the pole is adjustable. The inner pole plus the tip is 950 mm long and the outer pole plus the handle is 650 mm long. A maximum height of 1580 mm can be reached. The minimum is 950 mm. The handle is 100 mm long.

The grip pattern

The grip pattern is inspired by the skin of a cameleon, with its diverse forms and surveys.
