As part of returning to “normal”, One Summer Project was for five members of the club to tutor five Primary school girls from Holme School, Headley, in photography. The girls volunteered, each having different subjects as ideas to follow. We were grateful to Grayshott Pottery and Adrian Blyth for access inside the Pottery and car showroom to take pictures. The girls were Darcey Carter, Poppy Kosinski, Lily Mace, Lily Smee and Sophie Wielgut. Each girl was loaned a high end digital camera and decided themselves what they wished to photograph. We then permitted them to enhance their pictures in Photoshop. We were impressed how quickly they mastered both the cameras and Photoshop (it must be an age thing)! Part of the incentive was that three of each girl’s images would be mounted and displayed in the club’s exhibition, which, by kind permission of the Head, will be held in the hall of the school along with over a 100 prints from club members. The EXHIBITION which is FREE, will be held at Holme Primary School, Openfields, Headley, GU35 8PQ, from 10am – 3pm, on Saturday 25th September. Please come along and view our and the girls photographs. At last after running on “Zoom” we are returning to Headley Village Hall for our meetings from Monday 6th September, we meet at 7.45 for 8 pm. If you have an interest in photography why not come to a meeting. We are a friendly club, visit us and see what we do. Beginners as well as Advanced photographers are welcome.
