s we embark on our 100th Anniversary year in 2024, we are asking all our members, volunteers and supporters to share how you have been involved in a historic moment with the Chamber. The Chamber has had a long history in our community interacting with a wide range of people and businesses. If you have any photos, historic items, or stories we would love for you to share them with us - in writing, photos or posting on our Facebook Page. Throughout 2024 we will be sharing some of our history in our publications and we want you to be a part of it! While it has been 100 years since the Chamber of Commerce was officially incorporated in 1924, our history starts way before then! In 1903 a group of merchants first began meeting and in 1907 a Commercial Club was formed which eventually became the Grants Pass Chamber of Commerce in 1924. Our community is built around commerce and from the beginning, the Chamber of Commerce has been involved in many of the iconic moments of Grants Pass! We are working with The Daily Courier and Josephine County Historical Society to share historic treasures. Digging through old files and papers at the Josephine County Historical Society, I am excited to share the amazing things this organization has accomplished! Our signature event for 2024, will be our Annual Awards Banquet on February 23rd! We hope you will celebrate with us, so buy your tickets now before we sell out. Michelle Molck, CPNP-PC Michelle was born and raised in a suburb of Memphis, TN. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Mississippi College and began her medical career working in the NICU. She later obtained her MSN from the University of South Alabama as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Michelle and her family then moved back to their hometown of Southaven, MS where she worked at a pediatric clinic for about 8.5 years. Michelle, Jeremy, and their 4 children (Julia, Noah, Olivia, and Jude) moved to Grants Pass in the fall of 2023 and are excited to be a part of the Siskiyou Pediatric Clinic. Kevin Gill ~ Clouser Drilling Inc. A native of Oregon, Kevin was born and raised in Southern Oregon. A graduate of Illinois Valley High School and Western Oregon University with a business degree. Kevin had a career of 17 years in the food sales industry where he was an account manager for ConAgra Foods and the director of retail sales for the Pacific NW for Acosta Sales and Marketing. For the last 20 years, Kevin and Helen Gill have been have been the owners of Clouser Drilling Inc. Kevin has been very active on state level water industry committees and local community volunteering. Kevin and Helen have been married for 34 years and they have 2 adult children Ryan and Emily.

Mark Stutzman~ Farmer’s Building, Feed & Garden Supply Mark was born in Grants Pass and has lived here all of his life except for a 10 month stay outside of Salem, Oregon. He grew up in the family business and is currently the president of their three family businesses: Farmer’s Building, Feed & Garden Supply; Illinois Valley Building Supply; Rogue Truss. He is a second-generation owner and the youngest son of Leon and Luella Stutzman. Mark had two older brothers that were involved in the businesses but are now deceased. Mark is actively involved in the community. He sits on several boards including the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce and Grants Pass High School Marching Band and Color Guard. Mark is an active participant in the Grants Pass and Josephine County Chamber of Commerce as a Chamber Ambassador, a former Co-Emcee of the Chamber Greeters meeting, a member of the Business Retention & Expansion Committee and a major volunteer with Concerts in the Park. He currently attends the Jerome Prairie Bible Church where he is active in the church. He enjoys being involved and volunteering in the community. Mark is the father of five children, three are active in the businesses. Jon, the oldest, is managing Rogue Truss Systems. Grant is the manager of advertising and Mollie also helps in the advertising department. Jillian, his oldest daughter, worked in the business in the past along with her husband Kaleb and is now in Rhode Island. Chace, the youngest, is a senior in high school. Mark currently has 3 granddaughters, one grandson, and a mutt named Mochi. Terri Wiley ~ Evergreen Federal Bank Terri began her banking career in 1978 and never looked back. For all but three of those years she has served the people of Southern Oregon, with a short stint in the Portland/Salem area in the late 1980’s. Having worked for Far West Federal Savings & Loan, WaMu and for the last 15 years, Evergreen Federal Bank as a AVP and Relationship Banker where she has developed a love for the financial industry, she gets great joy when helping generations of customers, some whom have followed her from bank to bank. She is currently serving as a Chamber Ambassador, as well as a committee member for both the Family House Foundation, the Chamber Foundation and can be seen volunteering for the Women’s Crisis Support Team Clothing Fair, and many, many other community events. She was born and raised in Alaska, and has a great love for the beautiful outdoor area we call “home”. She has a husband, Doug, two children, two dogs and 5 acres, which channels her abundant energy in a productive way. You’ll find her with a big smile when working a burn pile on a misty, somewhat chilly day, and then make dinner on the fire; roasted hot dogs, burn pile potatoes and roasted marshmallows for dessert. Her daughter, Laurel lives in Houston. Her son, Brady is currently serving in the US Navy, deployed in the Middle East.

Brian Bouteller ~ Gospel Rescue Mission Brian was born (the oldest of 2) in San Francisco, California in 1969 to parents who were true products of the ‘60s. In 1978 they moved from the Bay Area to the metropolis of Shady Cove, Oregon (population 1,200 at the time). Within the first year, his father was in a driving accident that crippled his ability to acquire normal, gainful employment, causing them to spend the remainder of his time growing up in poverty and frequently dependent on social welfare. Brian is the only person in his family to graduate from high school, own his own business, and the first to own his own home. Today he is a happy husband of 17 years to his wife Shonna, father of 4, and grandpa of 1! Brian has worked for the Gospel Rescue Mission in Grants Pass since 2009 serving as Men’s Coordinator for his first 7 years and currently serving as the Executive Director. Brian has been privileged to see many hundreds of people leave a life of homelessness for one of independence and community. Brian has also served as the Executive Director of the Reaching Our Community (ROC) Food Pantry since December of 2019, and on the board of directors for the Grants Pass Sobering Center. Brian’s work includes the development and monitoring of the progress of mission residential and transitional programs, maintaining 5 websites, 7 social media pages, 2 thrift stores, 1 yard sale, acquisition and distribution of over 40% of the food that comes through the county foodbank, and producing 2 monthly newsletters. Brian’s most recent project is developing a tiny home village called MissionView Village that hopes to be available for occupancy by the spring of 2025 housing up to 24 formerly homeless individuals. “It is a pleasure to share with you whatever God has given. The Young Professionals Network is for young professionals in the target age range of 18-45 who are looking for networking opportunities with other young professionals, connections to the community and business leaders, community engagement, and professional development. The network holds monthly luncheons, quarterly socials, and community service projects.

hat a year it has been for our Young Professionals! 2023 was full of quality and relevant content, community engagement and networking. We heard from Carl Wilson, Superintendents of both Three Rivers School District and School District 7, Giff Gates, and Terry Hopkins. We hosted a panel discussion on Grant Writing inside Asante’s beautiful meeting space, toured the Josephine Community Library, did an intro to Pickleball at Club NW, and visited SBDC to learn about their classes and services. In aligning with our Mission and Vision Statement of empowering young professionals, YPN awarded two scholarships to local area students and donated funds to the Josephine Community Library for support of the young entrepreneurs in the Teen Room. In efforts to give back to our community, we made a large donation to the Josephine County Food Bank, Adopted-A-Street through Public Works and performed quarterly trash cleanups, volunteered at the Josephine County Food Bank and Rogue Winterfest. Amidst all the learning and volunteering, with the help of Climate City Brewing, Partake Shop Lounge & Dine, Wild River Brewing and of course Weekend Beer Company, we still found time to have a bit of fun! Thank you to all our wonderful sponsors, those that attend our events as well as our dedicated Committee. We look forward to another successful year, cheers to 2024!
