Animal Care Apprenticeship This Apprenticeship is perfect for anyone wishing to work with animals and is one of the most fulfilling roles within the land based sector. The qualification will form part of the Apprenticeship framework for animal care. It is a work related, competencebased qualification. It reflects the skills and knowledge needed to do the job effectively and shows that the learner is competent in the area of work. Assessment will be continuous and practical with a portfolio and multiple test paper (online).
NPTC City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma In Land Based Studies (Animal Care) Course Code: FGB46001 Level: 1 Duration: 1 year You need: 2 GCSEs F or above with one in English, a sound knowledge of both written and spoken English and an interest or previous experience with animals is desirable Methods of Assessment: Continual assessment and portfolio/online test Course Content Level 1 is a one year programme reflecting the skills and knowledge needed to carry out a job effectively under supervision.
