C HANGE TO S ECTION 293 Whereas Section 293 (2) lists the members of the Committee on Ritual, And whereas as currently written it calls for a Director of Ritual and Assistant Directors of Ritual, And whereas the title of Director of Ritual was changed to Grand Inspector General and the role of the Assistant Director of Ritual was modified, and the name changed as the 2017 Grand Sessions, And whereas the new Adjutant role may or may not include ritual requirements, Be it now resolved that Section 293 (2) be amended to correct the title of the Director of Ritual to the new title of Grand Inspector General and to provide for a competent ritual authority within each department.
S ECTION 293 (2) WILL BE MODIFIED TO RE AD The Committee on Ritual and Tactics shall be limited to not more than nine members, a Chairman whose title shall be Grand Inspector General and not more than eight members, at least one Sir Knight from each department will be chosen to be a member of the Committee. Before entering upon his duties, he shall produce a certificate from the Grand Inspector General that he is proficient in the Ritual and Tactics of the Orders and is fully qualified to act as the authority on ritual within the department.
