Hospital Escort Service. For many years the Masons of D.C. have escorted patients to Sunday Morning services in the chapel at the Veterans Administration Hospital. All lodges and all of the York Rite bodies in the jurisdiction participate in the program. Pictured are those comprising the group that provided assistance on July 31st last. This group includes a number of Grand Lodge Officers, the Grand Master of Cryptic Masons in D.C., representatives of the Masonic Service Association, and one of the patients who was escorted to the chapel on that occasion.

Correspondent Addresses Masons. David E. Sanger, White House Correspondent of the New York Times, addressed members of William E. Singleton-Hope-Lebanon Lodge No. 7 on Thursday evening, October 6th. A graduate of Harvard University, where he was a stringer for the Times while still a student, Mr. Sanger served as a correspondent in Japan and on economic issues before being assigned to the White House. Mr. Sanger, a member of two prizewinning investigative teams, spoke on America’s strategy four years after the 9/11 disaster. Harmony Lodge No. 17. Junior Warden Jeffrey H. Lewis has been selected by his peers as “Mason of the Year” in Harmony Lodge. Web Training Session. This year the Grand Lodge employed a professional web designer to design a new Grand Lodge web site. On completion of the work the web designer offered an orientation course to teach Lodge secretaries how to develop web sites for their Lodges. Pictured are those who participated in the session with the web designer, Chris Montone. Included in the group was our Grand Lodge computer guru, WB Todd Duehring, assistant to the Grand Secretary.
