Welcome to the world of TWINLINE! TWINLINE saw the light of day in the year 2006. Before that there was a lot of development to do: We asked consumers what they wanted; engineers and designers racked their brains over the best solutions. And shortly after TWINLINE’s start on the market it was clear to us: Our idea of a combination shower and bathtub would be a winner! Meanwhile, the concept has proved successful, and Artweger was able to establish a completely new product category with the TWINLINE: the shower-bathtub. And because as everyone knows success inspires, we can now introduce to you an addition to the TWINLINE family - TWINLINE 2. To each his own bath as desired. Tub? Or shower? Many of you know how it is: The space in the bathroom is often just too small for both. With TWINLINE you don’t need to decide because TWINLINE makes room for both! And that’s good. Because having to do without a full bath is not for everyone. Some people may be more the “shower type”, for whom it often has to go a little faster - but very few want to forgo a full bath completely! Bath or shower? Some people prefer taking a bath, others prefer a shower. Why is that? Is it simply a matter of taste? Or is there more to it? Does modern medicine perhaps have a plausible explanation? We went to the bottom of it and asked someone who should know:

Dr. Bernhard Strobl, general practitioner in the world-famous spa resort Bad Ischl and certified spa physician.

Dr. Strobl, you are a spa doctor in Bad Ischl. An obvious question: What is your basic evaluation on the issue of “taking a bath and taking a shower”?

Dr. Strobl: Young people often prefer a shower; it’s a matter of time. With them things often have to go fast. Older people would rather spend more time and take a bath. But ultimately many decide on a shower simply due to lack of space. What are the advantages of showers?

Dr. Strobl: Showers are practical: They’re quick, so they take little time, protect the environment and save energy and resources. Who should rather take a bath?

Dr. Strobl: Well - whoever prefers full baths should not do without them. One simply owes it to one’s wellbeing. There are also plenty of other reasons why a full bath can be recommended: when by administering additives a therapeutic effect is to be achieved, for example as part of a therapy for dry skin. Or as a heat therapy for rheumatic complaints. Or simply to increase one’s personal well-being - for instance with aroma therapy. Who should rather not take a bath?

Dr. Strobl: Those with cardiovascular problems should ask their doctor if taking a bath is OK for them, or whether they should rather avoid it. What are the medical (therapeutic) benefits of taking a bath?

Dr. Strobl: Baths are relaxing. Soothing. Circulationenhancing. And through the use of additives they can be used very well for therapeutic purposes. Can you give us some examples of how one can improve the positive effect of a bath?

Dr. Strobl: There are a number of useful possibilities - that one can also conveniently apply at home: by the addition of substances used in spas such as a mud bath or Dead Sea bath salts. Lipid-replenishing oil baths in turn are useful in, for example, certain skin diseases. It is best to simply ask your family doctor what is good for you... And finally a very personal question: What do you prefer - shower or bath?
