"The swiss stone pine" – National Park exhibition | "Esperianza il cembro"– esposizione del Parco Nazionale  St. Jakob i. D. - das mit dem Oberhauser Zirbenwald den größten geschlossenen Zirbenwald der Ostalpen zu seinem Gebiet zählen kann - lässt durch das alpine Heilklima sprichwörtlich aufatmen. Die sehr langsam wachsende Zirbe kann bis zu 1.000 Jahre alt werden. Aus ihren Zapfen werden spezielle Schnäpse und Liköre hergestellt. Holzschnitzer der Region benutzen für ihre Kunstwerke fast ausschließlich das weiche Zirbenholz. Dies und vieles mehr über den zu den Lärchengewächsen zählenden Baum erfahren Besucher in der Ausstellung „Erlebnis Zirbe“ im Handelshaus St. Jakob i. D. (Nationalpark Infostelle).  St. Jakob – with the swiss pine forest at Oberhaus, which can count itself as one of the biggest interconnected Swiss pine forests of the East Alps – is a place where you can literally take a deep breath, thanks to the healing alpine climate. The swiss pine, which grows very slowly, can reach an age of up to 1000 years, a diameter of up to two metres and a height of over 20 metres. Special schnapps and liqueurs are made from its cones. It is the soft swiss pine wood which which is usesd by the woodcarvers of the region, almost exclusively, for their art works. Visitors can find out about this and much more about this tree from the pine tree species in the exhibition ‘Erlebnis Zirbe’ at Handelshaus St. Jakob (National Park information point).  A St. Jakob – che con il suo Oberhauser Zirbenwald è il paese con il bosco di cimbri più grande del Tirolo orientale, si respira la salubre aria alpina. I cimbri risalgono addirittura a 1000 anni fa, e possono avere un diametro di due metri e un’altezza di oltre 20 m. Da questi preziosi alberi si producono grappe e liquori. Gli intagliatori di legno della regione utilizzano per le loro creazioni solo legno morbido di cimbro. I visitatori potranno acquisire notizie interessanti sui cimbri che apartengono alla famiglia dei pini nella mostra “Erlebnis Zirbe” organizzata presso Handelhaus St. Jakob (infopoint Parco nazionale).

"A voyage trough time" – Archaeological museum of the valley in St. Jakob "Viaggio nel tempo" – Museo archeologico della valle a St. Jakob  Die Ausstellung „Zeitreise Defereggen“ im archäologischen Talschaftsmuseum St. Jakob i. D. ist auf zwei Räume aufgeteilt. Interaktiv gelangen Besucher im ersten Raum im Zeitraffer von der Eiszeit weg durch die Jahrtausende. Der ca. 1.000 Jahr alte Einbaum, konserviert in einer Glasvitrine, ist der Mittelpunkt der Schau im zweiten Raum, wo die Funde von der Jägerstation am Hirschbichl bis zu Bergbaublüte und Wanderhandel Geschichten erzählen.  The exhibition, "A voyage through time in Defereggen" in the archaeological "Talschaftsmuseum" St. Jakob i. D. is split over two rooms. Interactively, in the first room visitors are taken in a time lapse from the Ice Age through the millennia. The almost 1000 year old dugout canoe, preserved in a glass cabinet, which hangs from the ceiling, is the focal point of the exhibition in room two, where finds from the hunting station on the Hirschbichl through to the heyday of mining and travel trades recount Defreggen’s history.  La mostra “Viaggio nel tempo a Defereggen” ospitata nel museo archeologico della valle di St. Jakob i. D. è divisa in due sezioni. I visitatori raggiungono virtualmente e con cadenza accelerata la prima epoca che inizia nell’era glaciale. La piroga risalente a 1000 anni fa, conservata in una teca di vetro, appesa al soffitto, è il cuore visivo della seconda sezione dove i reperti raccontano la storia del rifugio di caccia di Hirschbichl, della nascita dell’industria estrattiva e del commercio ambulante.

"Dive into the world of medicinal water" | "Immergetevi nel mondo delle acque termali“  Kraftvolle Osttiroler Künstler haben diesen kostbaren Schatz der Natur, dem Erbe des Urmeeres, ein würdiges Denkmal gesetzt. Der Bildhauer Michael Lang prägte mit seiner Interpretation des „Erbe des Urmeeres“ und des „Mythos Schnabelmenschen“ im Defereggental sowohl die Fassade des Heilwasserhauses als auch das Design des Deferegger Heilwassers sowie der Mythenplatz vor dem Heilwasserhaus. In seinem Zentrum entspringt der wertvolle Schatz des Defereggentals, die 1 Million Jahre alte Heilquelle. Das kostbare Wasser wird unterirdisch ins Heilwasserhaus geleitet um seine Reinheit zu garantieren.  East Tyrolean artists have made this precious treasure of nature – the heritage of the primeval sea – a worthy monument. With his interpretation of the "legacy of the primeval sea" and the "beak-man myth" in Defereggental, sculptor Michael Lang shaped both, the facade of the Heilwasserhaus and the corporate design of the Deferegger medicinal water, as well as the myth square in front of the building. The treasure of the Defereggen valley – the 1 million-year-old healing spring – emanates from its center. The precious water is passed underground to the water house to guarantee its purity.  Famosi artisti del Tirolo Orientale hanno dedicato un degno monumento a questo prezioso tesoro della Natura, eredità di un mare primevo. Con la sua interpretazione dell' "Erbe des Urmeeres" ("Eredità del mare primevo") e del "Mythos Schnabelmenschen" (Il mito degli uomini con testa di gru", lo scultore Michael Lang ha donato un tratto peculiare sia alla facciata dell'edificio, sia alla progettazione delle Terme di Defereggen, sia ancora alla fontana "Mythenplaz" che sorge proprio davanti all'ingresso alle terme. Al centro di questa fontana sgorga il prezioso tesoro della Defereggental, la fonte antica ben 1 milione di anni. Per garantirne la purezza, la pregiata acqua viene incanalata nel sottosuolo dell'edificio delle Terme.

 Burg Heinfels wurde von 2016 bis 2020 von Grund auf restauriert und in Stand gesetzt. Sie ist die weitläufigste Burganlage Osttirols und des Pustertales. Der Reiseschriftsteller Beda Weber bezeichnete Heinfels als Königin, die in die Lüfte steigt. Tatsächlich thront die Höhenburg auf einem markanten Felsen 1.130m über dem Meeresspiegel. Heinfels ist Sehenswürdigkeit, Museum und Veranstaltungsort. Das Museum erstreckt sich über eine Innen- und Außenfläche von 1.000 m² und bietet ein Gesamterlebnis aus historischem Mauerwerk, herrlichen Ausblicken und lebendig aufbereiteter Geschichte.  Heinfels Castle. Heinfels Castle was completely restored from 2016 to 2020. It is the most extensive castle complex of Osttirol and the Puster Valley.
