Formed as the offspring of The Australian Leadership Project, the Centre’s members are drawn from 56 countries. Victor’s life experience includes stints as Commissioner to the Americas, 18 years as a parliamentarian, practice as a barrister, mediator, arbitrator, businessman and board service. He was a Senior Engagement Adviser to the Australian G20 presidency focused on the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meetings.
In October 2020, Victor presented to our members, a special Online-Only event titled “ Optimism-your superpower-the why and the how. ” He was invited to present at the March Luncheon in 2021 where he spoke about “ The Heart of Optimism: What makes you Optimistic for 2021 and Beyond? ” At the 2022 March Luncheon, his topic was “ Is the lack of Optimism a global risk ?”
In 2022, The Centre for Optimism partnered and sponsored the Nelson Mandela Regional Youth Leadership Summit Victoria with Future Voices, The Gandhi Experiment and the Gallawah Foundation. Victor Perton presented the classic workshop on the “How and Why of Optimism” at all four summits.
Victor will be back at Graduate House in June with another concept of Optimism.
