beef cattle rules

1. All beef animals must be halter broken.

2. Either grade or purebred animals may be shown in all beef classes except bull classes.

3. Ages are to be taken as of date of show where applicable.

4. Only two animals may be shown in a class by an exhibitor.

5. See Health Rules and General Rules.

6. All animals need to be in place by 9 am.

ANIMAL HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR EXHIBITION

Polk County Fair follows all health requirements provided by the State Veterinary Office for the Missouri State Fair. These may be found at the Missouri State Fair web page www.mostatefair.com. Health papers must be obtained from a veterinarian and in the possession of the exhibitor.

SHOWMANSHIP TROPHIES will be awarded as follows:

Beginner – 6-7 years of age; Junior – 8-10 years of age; Intermediate – 11-13 years of age; Senior – 14-17 years of age; Advanced 18-21 years of age.

Showmanship class show time will be at the discretion of the judge.
