The Aztec Religion
The Aztecs had surprisingly many religion gods. Aztecs believed that the gods lived on the era of the fifth sun and any day the planet could end violently. The civilization performed human sacrifices (such as letting blood soak to the ground or rip out a war prisoner’s heart and burn it) to keep the sun alive. Each god represented different important parts of the world for Aztec people. They held special ceremonies. The biggest building in an Aztec city was the temple.
