AN UPDATE FROM BRIAN CRAFTON As we have grown it has become more essential for us to make some changes and add some features to our service to better help serve you, our customers. We now have a business voice line and you can call and reach our team easily when submitting a ticket is not possible. Using the help icon or emailing tech@dent-it.net is still the preferred way for us to receive your help requests, but with this new system you will not have to wonder who, what, when. or where you should call when submitting a ticket is not possible. If we cannot answer the call, just leave a voicemail and the system will email that voicemail to tech@dent-it.net. Pretty cool, huh?!?!
OUR NEW NUMBER IS: (870) 218-3230 We will also be adding the option to the help ticket forms for you to choose your preferred way we contact you. You will have a choice of call, text, or email. If you choose for us to call or text, we will still write up your ticket once it has been resolved and send it to you in an email for archive purposes, but will communicate with you during the resolution process whichever way you prefer. If you choose text, you will get the texts from new numbers that are built into our new phone system instead of mine and Jaden’s personal devices. More news is coming soon! Stay tuned to hear about additional staff and extended hours.

MEMORANDUM TO THE TEAM TO: All Employees FROM: Management DATE: October 18, 2023 REGARDING: Office Halloween Celebration
The purpose of this memo is to inform all team members about any office Halloween celebrations, taking place on 10-31-2023 during normal business hours. We are looking forward to sharing in some festivities with each other and our patients, and to making the day fun and inclusive for everyone. To that end, we have a few important reminders regarding costumes. All costumes should comply with our professionalism policies, anti-harassment (including sexual harassment) and non-discrimination policies, and workplace violence policies. We encourage our team to have fun but to be mindful of different cultures, religions, political views, ages, races, national origins, and genders. In addition, do not wear costumes that include anything that could be perceived as or construed as a weapon. If in doubt about whether an accessory or costume is appropriate for the workplace, ask management prior to bringing it to work. Finally, note that not every patient or team member may choose to participate in the Halloween celebrations, so please respect everyone’s individual decision regarding their level of participation. We ask that you gauge a patient’s comfort level while discussing the holiday and adapt your conversation to their cues. If you have questions or concerns regarding this celebration, please see management.

Waterline Testing: What You Need to Know
T
oday, 42 states require that dental offices follow current CDC guidelines for
waterline testing. Those current guidelines include quarterly testing of the water lines in the offices. These guidelines are in place to help establish a safe environment for patients and staff during dental visits. There have been infection outbreak cases leading to fines and office closures in the following areas: • • • • • • • • •
Anaheim, CA Atlanta, GA Budd Lake, NJ Forli, Italy Los Angeles, CA Caracas, Venezuela Sacramento, CA Denver, CO, Maui, HI
Cases like the ones listed about are tragic simply because they are preventable. Dental unit waterlines are too often neglected in infection control. By following the guidance provided by the CDC and a proven 3-step protocol (shock, treat, test), dental professionals can be assured that their practice and patients are protected. There are some offices that are already testing on some frequency, which is awesome! For the offices that are not testing quarterly, we are dedicated to making things as easy as possible. That is why GPS has chosen to partner with ProEdge Dental Water Labs. ProEdge is dedicated to helping your office achieve safe water! They will be walking alongside our teams, providing the resources and coaching to be successful.

ith the recent addition of our new RCM Director, Heather Mitchell, GPS Dental is laying the groundwork for a strong billing option for
our practices. Currently, under the leadership of Tara Winford, the GPS Insurance and Credentialing Specialists support of our practices. Our goal is to not only expand the number of practices we support, but also expand the number of billing support functions we can offer. Heather’s vast experience in DSO billing and collections has given her a headstart on building out the foundation and team. Although we have a few pilot locations already, our goal is to begin recruiting GPS practices in January 2024. As with all GPS support functions, we are here to strategize on what makes the most sense for your practice. Our a la carte offerings across the board are intended to be additive in nature and never mandatory.
